Compare function

When you are editing a preset, it's impossible to come back to the original settings to hear the difference without losing the changes you've made. A simple compare / do / undo button function would help. This could be implemented with one of the front panel switches that you hold longer, like the tuner access.

  1. I agree!

A workaround is to not fill up your Eleven Rack with rigs, just the ones you really need.Keep the rest stored on your computer. Keep at least two preset rigs that you dont mind overwriting. Then use those to edit and save new rigs.

So first copy the rig you want to edit into one of the rigs you dont mind overwriting.

After editing the rig save it to the location next to it,then you can just use the scroll knob to compare them.If you dont like the new one you can easily start over again.

After you're done you should move the new rig to another location or overwrite the old rig from the original location,so that you always have two "free" locations to edit and save other rigs.

  3. Note that this idea was suggested much earlier:

If you have an idea, it's a good idea to search first to see if it's already been suggested, so the votes don't get diluted. Hopefully the Avid folks recognize this and add up the votes themselves.
