Allow numeric entry of the value by clicking on the number and typing in addition to moving the pan knob.

  2. DP has this, and it is indeed a time saver.

    been asked for already :)

  5. not just in MIX but also in Edit Window....

and as for "been asked for already"?.... I've been asking for certain things, like this, for years, I guess that qualifies as "already" ;-)....

If you mean on THIS forum... well, that struck me as an immediate problem as soon as I saw this forum with maybe 20-30 post on it at that time, and things being repeated already... it's impossible for us NOT to repeat stuff, unless you scan the entire list, before posting your idea to make sure you don'tt repeat something already stated... that'll have to be Digi's job to figure out how to manage that issue... if it's manageable at all.

I personally will always try to do a search before and add as many reasonable tags to my ideas as possible. I must admit your topic is better as English is not my language and my description of the idea is not as good as yours.

Guys, this has been part of PT for ages. Open the floating window and try again. Use it all the time. Makes perfect sense that way.

By the time it takes to open the floating window we would be already done

    2. Can you elaborate? Which floating window etc. I figured you meant double clicking on the current numerical value for a fader of pan knob, but that's not doing anything.

    3. I dont want to open the floating window and mouse around for the number, click on it, and then mouse to the tiny 'x' and close the floating window. I want to be able to double click (or something) on the value in the EDIT window and change the value with my keyboard, you know, like, oh, I don't know, EVERY OTHER DAW

  9. EVERY other DAW has it. I switched to PT and it was the first disappointment for me to find out that i can't enter volume and pan data numerically. "+50" to pan it right, "-50" to pan it left and "0" to center it.

I also like to make volume differences by 3 dB. To feel the difference. In PT it ends up adjusting it manually which takes a lot of time.

  10. Totally agree

  11. I agree with this. This should be available for any adjustable knobs, sliders, automation nodes, etc., and should extend to plug-in controls too.

Also, there should be the ability to reset values:
