A standalone editor for Eleven Rack (outside of ProTools) would be a crucial addition for Eleven Rack owners. Launching ProTools just to access Eleven Rack's editor is totally excessive, and uses up too much RAM and system resources.

Delay spillover while switching patches on Eleven Rack would make for smoother, more natural transitions between sounds.
Call it 'traditional' or 'modular' in the setup menu so we can either keep FX in the 'correct' place (mod's under the Mod button etc) or just mix it up as we see fit.
Being able to run 2 delays would be handy for example and having a Flanger and EQ and Chorus but ditching the OD and having for example a trem available could suit many clean players.
One area where the 11R is sorely lacking is with Pitch based FX. To address that I suggest an Intelligent Harmoniser (and pitch detuner) that is capable of producing 3 voices of harmony. The user at minimum should be able to set the Parent major key as well as the harmonic minor and of course the intervals. It'd be nice to have a global clip indicator that appears when any of the monitored points (or at least the outputs) clips. This need only appear in the play (not edit) mode. It seems that there's enough space in all four play-mode screen that an clip icon could be flashed in the upper-right corner of the LCD. Alternatively, one of the lighted pushbuttons (I'd suggest the Edit/Back button, since it'll be normally orange ...more »

I wouldn't bother with latching the clip indicator. It'd be enough to have it flash for a half-second or so upon clip detection.

There's a noise at startup after the 11R completes its initialization. If this is caused by uninitialized data in the buffers, perhaps it'd be possible to zero those buffers as part of power-on initialization.
By far one of the most requested features when folks discuss the 11R on various internet forums. Many modeling units which attempt to recreate the Whammy really fall short. I believe the 11R has the needed horsepower to successfully emulate this effect.
How about the ability to run 2 rigs together? I think that would sound awesome. How about a plexi & a jumped bassman in stereo? A twin & deluxe with a little slapback & tremelo? So many cool options if we could do that.
This seems to have become a pretty widely used overdrive pedal lately.
Please add two-way MIDI communication so the Eleven Rack’s state can be probed resulting in foot controllers being able to synch and properly display data. Real world use? Grab the knob on the ER, give it a twist to select a different rig and have your foot controller end up in the same place! Almost every other guitar rack out there can does this resulting in feedback to the foot controller.
There is currently no way to send a full rig with cab out the Mains and a full rig no cab to Amp Outputs. The guys at Avid mentioned that there is no way to do so because it would use more DSP. If the Amp and Cab blocks were separate, the user could put the cab at the end of the chain, and select between full rig pre-cab or full rig for either output. No extra DSP needed!

A model of an Orange amp really makes sense since the 11R is orange. Oranges seem to have a very dark tone which is unique to them.
Pretty self explanatory....cut down on the lag between patches on Eleven Rack. It's been mentioned on DUC that current switching time is around 60ms but that it may be possible to cut it down to 20ms. Please, Avid!
Since the Dumble ODS may be "the" boutique amplifier, having one on the 11R makes sense. A good Dumble emulation would make dialing up Robben Ford and Larry Carlton type tones easier. I've played an actual Dumble on three different occasions, and the True-Z capabilities of the 11R may make it the only modeler capable of capturing the unique (to me at least) touch sensitivity of a Dumble. A global graphic EQ on Eleven Rack Amp Outputs would be useful for tweaking tones for different poweramps, different rooms or for whatever reason the user sees fit. Leave Main Outputs unaffected.
The modulation effects on Eleven Rack need a mix or dry/wet dial.
And an attack and attenuation control to go with the threshold and release controls for the noise gates on the Eleven Rack...and make the noise gate a bit more responsive on some of the high gain amp rigs
