Bypass all plugins for a track
I need a key-mouse combination to bypass all plugins on a given track.

A preference that allows selected tracks to be grouped until deselected. With this feature I could just shift click two tracks and control their volumes together for a second until I select a different track.
I wish you could COMMAND+DRAG the already created output of a track to the input of another for quick routing. You could do this for busses too.
Currently Mac users can use OSX to create shortcuts for some menu items but Windows users must turn to Autohotkey and other such programs. It would be nice to assign keyboard shortcuts to to menu items that lack one (like Delete Fades) or even repetitive processing tasks (Audiosuite gain or reverse for example). Instant Ableton-style non-linear composition workflow...
A keyboard command to turn window scrolling on and off would be great. Having to navigate to a menu item, and then a sub-menu item is a real workflow killer.
A single toggle-button to hide and show Plug-in windows, like V in Logic.
Extremely easy to do, and very useful!!
To navigate and move midi notes via up/down/left/right arrow keys instead of TAB and shift -/+ would be so much faster and convenient.
Shortcut for transposing midi notes by semitones/steps please. Its a simple request that'll increase many people's workflow using midi/score editor without resorting to the mouse or the transpose midi window.
Photoshop has this feature for plugins (apple-F I think) and it would be very useful when you closed that darn pitch 'n time (etc...) window because it was in the way but actually you need it again already!
Or is it just me?
The smart tool is already very handy with the fade and crossfade tool. It would be even better if the crossfade tool could select mutiple tracks to crossfade multiple regions in and out..(like what you can do now by first selecting mutliple regions and then press Command F) And it would be cool if (option/crl/cmd) click would offer you a pop up of the different fader shapes, so that you can change the shape instantly... ...more »

The solution would be an option in Preferences - for Mac users in Windows version of PT and for PC users in Mac version - changing order of modifier keys. For crossplatform users it's VERY IMPORTANT.

In elastic audio, after scrubbing or positioning a marker, it would be good to use a keyboard shortcut to create the marker without having to move the mouse and lose your marker point.
The need is for a "go to next/previous marker" command and corresponding pair of keyboard shortcuts. This would enable navigating through series of markers without having to click in the marker lane, distinguishing that task from tabbing to next/previous region boundaries and/or transients.
It would be nice to be able to quickly copy the pan settings from one track's output to another, in the same way that you can quickly copy plug-in info from one window to another with shift-apple-C and shift-apple-V.
In Commands-Keyboard-Focus mode on the Edit Window there are several keyboard shortcuts: y, u, i and = (Equal key), that are left-overs from the time, editors worked with external, TC locked video.
Today, there should at least be an option in the preferences, to replace these with more useful commands like "snap to next/previous region" or "goto next/previous marker".
1. Hitting option and the "-" key switches quickly to Volume view. How about option and the "+" key to switch to pan view? It should be easy to add, but would save lots of time.
2. I'd love to see an easy feature to invert panning automation data. It would be great to be able to highlight Left to Right pan automation, then flip it to Right to Left. Or front to back, etc.
I use macros when recording foley and ADR. I would absolutely LOVE it if there is a shortcut to rename the selected track. I understand that if multiple tracks are selected, it could cause confusion. However, it could prompt the renaming of ONLY those selected tracks in succession? I know that there are 3rd party programs that can simulate a mouse click on a certain coordinate but I'd rather not rely on another application. ...more »

When choosing sounds you need to go through 20 presets at minute sometimes. Hardware synths and samplers and all other DAWS have ALWAYS had +/- physical buttons and patch scroll wheels because THEY ARE REQUIRED for efficient, speedy sound auditioning. (In Pro Tools, I still reach for the +/- Logic key commands, then when I realize that they're not actually there, my mind does a somersault, it's surreal.)
There is a very similar feature request in here for "scrolling through the air plugin presets like the + and - or the up and down keys." This is requesting the +/- keys at the top of plugins get assigned key command shortcuts.
What I am requesting is different and focuses on modern plugins that have built-in preset browsers. Most DAWs, like Logic, pass on the arrow keys into the plugin to browse and/or audition patch presets in their custom preset browsers. Pro Tools needs to pass the keyboard arrow keys onto the plug-ins so that we can quickly and easily browse and audition plugins without a mouse for speed and sanity.

This could also give the opportunity to just clear the automation points from a certain selection of time as well.

I'd really like a direct keyboard shortcut to display Pan automation - pan or FPos for 5.1 (Just like the existing shortcut for displaying volume automation...)
Scroll thru track list with up/down arrows
A shortcut key to scroll your control surface to the highlighted track.
For people who are primarily Mac users, working in Windows means the Key Commands are often very different. I've started a recording session at 00:00:00:00
after about 13 hours of recordings I noticed that the asterisk shortcut isn't working properly, when I try to jump to time code 13:00:00:00 it jumps back to 12:30:00:00:00.
