I would like the ability to include memory markers when slipping audio clips instead of only cutting and pasting clips with markers. This could be a selection in preferences.
Please; make all visual reference like; edit windows scroll bar, plugin VU etc, follows playback sync. With large mixing sessions and large delays compensation in place, all visual feedback can become almost useless.
See that huge boost in the low-mid (screen shot #1 -- brown EQ band)? I didn’t do that, but it was there when I opened my session. That unexpected bump seems to even be saved in every single session backup file - so there’s no going back. My guess is that the plugin doesn’t correctly (or at all) save its values in the session file, so when PT tries to open the plugin, from any .ptx file or any session backup, it can’t ...more »
Find Track Name is useful too, but:
1. Why are there only 2 matches shown in the list? The list could go much longer to show more entries without using Up/down Buttons.
2. Why only match the beginning of the track name and not ANY PART of the track name... eg. i type "git" and get "back_git_1", "back_git_2" and "lead_git" as results...
Would be soooo much more useful then... please go for it in 10.8.3
addition to batch rename: if i select clips in my timeline, which are actually files on my hd, there should be an option to rename the file name too... like double clicking on a consolidated clip - there is an option to rename clip and/or file name

It would be great to have the ability to map MIDI messages to key commands. This is very helpful when using Lemur based applications to be able to tap a button on your iPad and have it send some kind of MIDI message to your DAW that actually will cause it to do some action like add a track, nudge a clip, create a new playlist, etc. To make this work in Pro Tools a 3rd party application is needed to intercept MIDI messages ...more »
1) Have a long continuous clip. 2) Have separate clips that you would like to use as guides to cut the above continuous clip. 3) Using the Object Grabber tool, select the individual clips and move them onto the continuous clip (note: the first "guide" clip and the continuous clip have the same start time). 4) Cut. 5) The beginning and ends of the continuous clip are not cut correctly. Behavior is displayed in this quick ...more »
This would allow you to instantly loop a section of the session, select it for editing, fit to window, etc. without having to select-shift-select the markers in the marker track or memory location window.
Currently, if you create a show/hide memory location that allows you to only view your drum tracks for example, and you then decide to add a new track to that group, you have to manually update the memory location or else the newly created track will not show up when selecting that memory location again. This is very inconvenient and makes this feature almost useless in my opinion and track folders preferable. I find ...more »
Update installed, new session.
Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/212377/ProTools/App/Document/UProToolsWindowPresetMgr.cpp", line 234.
When there are multiple video tracks in a session a key-command/region-select is needed to select which video track is to play. Having to reach to the left of tracks to select the blue button is so yesterday. especially with the large screens. This would be very usefui when comparing multiple videos when conforming.
