It would be great if you could select different buffer sizes in the playback engine. I have a lot of projects where it would be great to have a inbetween size from 64 to 128, 96 would be the perfect balance between lower latency and dramatically increased CPU usage. Many other apps allow buffer sizes in between the factor of 2 sizes.
Would be great to have the ability to include hidden tracks in layouts like you can on the S6. This way you can have layouts be totally independent of what tracks are currently showing on the PT screen, like you can with custom faders on the D-command/D-control. Could be a pref in eucon i guess.
As a Console1 user, the only real frustration I have when using it with Pro Tools is that the track orders in Pro Tools and Console1 don’t sync. This means that any time I move or add tracks in the Pro Tools session, the Console1 track layout must then be manually updated to match the new track layout in PT, a cumbersome and really unnecessary extra step. Softube have said that they can and will make this functionality ...more »
When exporting renamed 9 channel audio file form timeline, I am only able to export as 9 x mono files, instead of one multi-channel interleaved wav file.
So here's my issue: I open a browser to search for sound effects (I use soundsnap and audioblocks), I can play a sound through my main audio interface (Focusrite Saffire Pro 56) just fine. If I launch ProTools, even through I have "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" UNCHECKED ProTools still stops the computer's ability to play back audio through the browser. I've isolated the issue and ...more »
Too many mix engineers receive sessions with missing audio files all because the non-pro users do not know that the simple preference "Automatically Copy Files on Import" is not, by default, checked on their system.
This plug-in is almost the same price as Logic X. And, the full EXS24 (which was $500 a decade ago by itself) is included in that.
This should just come standard with PT.
Hey all! Up to Pro Tools 12.6, I could delete empty playlists by simply switching from the playlist view to the waveform view and then back again. The playlists without audio content would be gone. This feature was extremely helpful for things like huge loop recording efforts - say you'd have five vocal phrases that would be looped onto ten playlists each. That's fifty playlists which could then be combined onto five ...more »
it "works" but sometimes you have to hit it a few times to get it to actually "quantize" Using latest PT 12.8.2 r2 update.
There are a lot of devices (hardware and software alike) that hijack the playback engine after a crash or even restarting pro tools. Would be epic if you guys made a "default" go to playback engine.
So we can disengage "command snap to grid" in slip mode. Useful feature for some, hindering to the workflow of those who use command 1-7 to change editing tools. thanks for checking it out!!
I would like to be able to "Record Enable" the left and right channels separately. Maybe with a right click on the record enable button or some other modifier key combination to get to a drop down with a list of separate channel choices or all channels. Then you could record the left side first, then record another take on the right side of a stereo track. Otherwise you have to track to two mono tracks, output the two ...more »
