When editing track names and comments, you can switch to the next or previous track by using the keyboard shortcut [cmd+left/right arrow]. It would be very handy if this shortcut could also be used when editing memory locations. When the Edit Memory Location dialog is open, you could use [cmd+left/right arrow] to switch to the next or previous memory location, thus not having to close the dialog and double click on the ...more »
When I am editing vinyl clicks while zoomed into the wave form at the sample level it's time to select the pencil tool to draw out the click, and then "Chicklet" back out to overview the waveform to scrub to the next click and also switch to the selector tool to navigate to the next click and then zoom back in to the sample level again at which point again selecting the pencil tool.and then repeat on and on, click after ...more »
Pro Tools needs to add Batch Processing and Batch Commands. How many times have you done tedious tasks of moving things to playlists, or organizing tracks, or applying AudioSuite plugins on multiple clips, or bouncing out different stems, or something.
I think being able to add batch commands would greatly help improve workflow in Pro Tools. It's in Audition and it's awesome.
I think we need a system that is similar to Smell-O-Vision but with audio so that we can smell what the sound smells like , different guitar pedal keyboard smell , and also the singers breath smell in the mic Smell-O-Vision was a system that released odor during the projection of a film so that the viewer could "smell" what was happening in the movie. The technique was created by Hans Laube and made its only appearance ...more »
This would be a great feature for comping dialog tracks quickly in film post. Often as I am listened through scene I use the mute key command to mute the secondary mics within a sequence of shots. While I like to take these out of the primary track view for mixing, I do not want to delete them in case I need a tail or piece of tone later. The easiest action would be to just select over a section of clips and when you ...more »
Make it so DSP instantiations are colored differently from native instances of plugins. Right now the only way to definitively tell is to open the plugin. Too tedious if trying to maximize DSP usage in a large session. Of course this has implications for BYPASS coloring also. With coloring it adds speed and value to the HDX / DSP platform. Glancing at the mixer and seeing whats DSP vs Native in a second would be a real ...more »
Would be great. Thanks!
It would be great if you could move or copy a plug-in in-between two contiguous plug-ins.
At present, we only have the option to replace one of the plug-ins and it is time-consuming dragging plug-ins down first to create a empty insert slot.
When hovering in-between two plug-ins a highlighted line should inform the user the dragged plug-in will be inserted in-between these plug-ins.
Windows 10 display scaling makes Pro Tools fuzzy on HiDPI Screens and using native resolution on UHD Screens makes Pro Tools too small.
Pro Tools looks beautiful in macOS on HiDPI Retina Displays however, on Windows it looks awful.
An option for HiDPI Mode in Preferences would be greatly appreciated.
I am scratching my head on this one. Whenever you do a track bounce it ONLY bounces stereo, even if the track is mono. If you switch to dual mono in the pop up dialogue menu then you get 2 mono ( L & R) ... even if its a mono track. This makes absolutely no sense. I feel this may be a bug or maybe it was just a missed implementation? I even tried selecting only mono tracks and it still bounces them as stereo. Soooo .... ...more »
The option to import audio to selection on the selected track.
