Changing the track view to a sends level (or mute and pan for that matter) is ridiculously involved considering how often this task is performed, especially when all 10 sends are being used on a track. As far as I can tell, Option-clicking on a send does nothing other than open that sends fader. So it would be nice to add some functionality to an Option-Click on a send. Option-Click the send and the track view changes ...more »
Currently if I want to perform only one operation to control gain, panning, processing, inserts, sends, etc. for my hardware stereo left/right inputs (i.e. keyboard synths, drum machines, sequencers), I have to create an Auxilliary Channel which just adds more clutter to my numerous channel inputs. I have an Allen & Heath QU32 digital mixer that allows me to link any two of the 32 channels starting with an odd number ...more »
These two buttons are frequently mis triggered as they are both next to commonly used keys on the keyboard. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally gone out of punch mode because my fat finger bumps 6 when hitting 3 to start recording and on the next pass when I try to punch I completely miss recording and have to start the take over again. The "N" key is close to commonly used "B" and of course the spacebar ...more »
Pro Tools, you are boss in so many routing related issues. But, your side chaining functionality leaves something to be desired. Apart from that they are only delay compensated in HDX, they are also only mono. In this day of multichannel audio, this won't do. I'm sure you are aware of this and are working on it. But here's my vote for it anyway. Thanks and looking forward to being able to use the Pro-L2 properly (like ...more »
This is a CASH cow I get it,, BUT you broke the "fee" in 2 for the non HD model.. do the same and I might upgrade my HD but 400$ a YEAR??
all I need is subscription.. I do my own support! and to be honest, I often know more than your "team"..
An Audio Suite Lane / Strip where you can customize your Favorite audiosuite plugs for instant use (with Post / Mix / Edit presets)
Is there a valid reason for having to quit PT's to change audio interfaces? I normally use HDX via HD i/o but I have an instruments with a built-in interface that require no physical patching and it's really a bother to have to physically patch 14 channels of i/o or quit, restart PT's and virtually patch every time I use the instrument. I believe this is an area that could use improving. An audio engine reset or update ...more »
An option to save a session or a track as a emailable zip file from within Pro Tools.
Is there a way of having one set of tracks visible in the “Edit” window, and a different set visible in the “Mix” window?
I don’t need to see the MIDI tracks in the Mix window. It would be nice to be able to un-link the Edit and Mix windows, when necessary.
We adjust send levels in Pro Tools by mouse clicking on a bus, this loads a slim floating fader outside of the mix window. We then need to click and drag this floating fader to set the send volume level. Wouldn't it be great if we didn't need to open up the floating fader? Instead, we adjust the send level over the instance of the bus like a plug-in slider? This would save countless mouse clicks within a mix.
Under "View" we can change the width of all the tracks in the Mix Window to either standard (Wide) or Narrow. The only drawback to the narrow view is that plug-ins and track names become heavily abbreviated making it a challenge to quickly read a plug-in or track name I would like to have the choice of track widths in the mix window. A typical mix window arrangement I would like to see in a future Pro Tools Mix Window ...more »
