Example : a mix group containing 1 mono and 2 stereo audio tracks, all 3 with an Eq37 on insert "a", mix attributes set to insert control/bypass. All 3 Eq's have the same low cut enable, the same low cut freq, the same ... , but when moving the , e.g., low cut freq in the mono track Eq, only that one moves, not the low cut freq of the Eq's of the stereo tracks. And vice versa : moving a parameter in the stereo Eq does ...more »
Improve easy-of-use when moving or copying a plug-in from a track to another with a different number of channels: - if the destination track have fewer channels, automatically convert the plug-in format, for example: - when moving from a stereo to a mono track, convert "multichannel" to "mono" or "multi-mono" to "mono" (in this case keep Left settings, drop right settings -- or even ask which channel settings to keep) ...more »
It's great that you can add controllers to tracks in the Midi Editor. However, it needs to be enhanced so that if you navigate to a different track that doesn't have that controller added and then you navigate back to the track for which you originally added the controller, it is retained.
Many Avid customers have existing investments in AVB that they would like to preserve as they migrate to the MTRX, which presently only supports Dante. A firmware upgrade that allows the Brooklyn FPGA to additionally support AVB, or a separate AVB card, would be desirable.
Controlling external devices is not a easy thing in Pro Tools. Of course, there are some protocols supported like MTC, MMC, Pre (more or less...) but every controller protocol is kind of closed one, not usable for everyone, Of course, I can understand that due to marketing purposes Avid does not want to share these with everyone, but it can be done without such sacrifice:-) Just imagine how all those smart devices for ...more »
i'm mixing a surround cartoon with action scenes, and i think... why i can't write automation with surround panner with less speed to follow better my targets?
i always have to adit or glide automation, but i think will be "faster do it slow in unreal time"
Rewire is the way many of us pro tools producers make the best of working Ableton into our sessions. The problem is 3rd party plugins are disabled. "Link" looks to be the future and Pro Tools should be first to add it.
I'd LOVE to see a stock feature added to Pro Tools that allows a session to have a notebook within it that lists lyrics, chords, mics used, special info about tracks, and has a TO DO list for the session. I share sessions often with other artists and producers, and would LOVE to have notes embedded in the session so that they are there for anyone who gets the session data. NOT a third party plugin, but a Pro Tools feature. ...more »
Dragging a plug-in or send across from one track to the next is easy and quick. Why can't we do this for i/o assignments?
I do a fair amount of mixing for Video Game scores in Quad and often times they also would like an LFE channel in addition to Quad. It would be awesome if you guys could add a 4.1 bus as a feature. I would think it would be a pretty simple thing to build, just a Quad bus plus the LFE send. At the moment I print to a Quad stem plus a separate mono LFE so I have to make extra groups for each stem and doing bus processing ...more »
Currently, when using loop record (with "Automatically create new playlist when loop recording" selected), the track name displays the playlist which was selected when the recording began, rather than which playlist a particular performance will be saved to, thus making it practically impossible to keep track of what performance happened on what playlist. If the track name could display what playlist was being recorded-to, ...more »
Currently, when assigning busses, you have to click a send/output, wait for the menu to open, then choose which bus you want ("Bus 1-2", etc.). THEN, you have to right-click on the chosen bus to rename it (as is good practice). I think it would be better if the menu that popped up gave the following options: Bus New Bus Track New Track Output There would be no "No Send" option, unless a send had been created ...more »
