For me is not so important but i think is a good feature. When i use strip silence for voice over or something similar i thing will be useful to set a fade threshold too fo end fade in and start fade out. Like an expander with hysteresis but using editing.
It would be great to have an enhanced audio suite view having an editable timeline window/lane. Time length would be determined by selected audio file length. This would be great for on the fly creation of fx during theatrical mixes where the stability of the actual session is critical. Great for complicated pitching etc.
XFORM is still SLOW.AS.BALLS. I'm sitting here on a 12core/3.46Ghz machine.. XForming 6 tracks that are 7 minutes long. It's taking FOREVER. What is this? EQing in Sound Tools in the early 90's?? Activity monitor is showing my system is sitting 92% idle. Aka.. Protools isn't taking advantage of the juice aka I'm sitting around WASTING time I could be doing something else. At least, lock out those track regions ...more »
When you hit command + opt + G and group a series of clips, it's currently to hard to distinguish that group short of the tiny little text at the top left, that many of us with high res monitors can barely see. I propose that when you group clips, that group is either colored differently or at the very least has a slightly different (darker or lighter shade) than the rest of the clips on that track. Example of use in ...more »
The function of making a region group block in an aux track would allow for the quick movement and editing of complex automation. Imagine if the user had a small piece of audio as source with many presets, or complex motion of processing, these could be moved around like blocks, tuning, discovering - without twiddling. Like legos. Favorite processes could have names on the group block, they would have colors etc. In ...more »
It would a great creative tool to be able to link/group a VCA fader to a automation lane - for example, a pitch function on a plug in. This would take the modular nature of a session to the next level. This would allow for the most esoteric function to be on a fader next to your main tools.
I work with film and usually ask me to have the surround mix, dialoge stem and LTRT mix. Now i bounce Multichannel mix and multichannel DX stem togheter because they wan't it in multiple mono and after i make LTRT because they want an interlived file.
is possibile to have the option for any bounce to have all the option, like interlived or not, like different sample rate, and so...
I spoke with Pro Tools support and was asked to submit a request for official Intel i9-7900X processor support and X299 chipset support.
Please review the new hardware and have Pro Tools work properly with the new architectures.
As a DAW, Pro Tools has to provide the following informations: Show the Time and Position of the highest and lowest Peaks of any audio track in Pro Tools mixing session. This feature allows to set the proper settings for dynamics plugins, for instance. It helps on how to properly reset gain staging within the DAW... It's a valuable feature for mixers of any kind. Meter clipping info is not enough. It's a half solution. ...more »
doing things on many tracks in one time we use grouping tracks ok but some time we need some actions on many tracks but just for one time and grouping tracks stay for long time. Why not having an momentary grouping with an special selection for just one action ?
be able to use maker in more than one list. some markesr are important for structure or many other cues, but some time we need to use makers for short time, so it will be nice to have an new marker list for these without distubing my main marker list !
to be able choose solo safe on auxiliary track by default ... or not most of the time we used it like that ! solo safe !
