It would be handy to retrieve parameter settings from a clip that has been processed by an Audiosuite plugin If you wanted to go back to a processed clip at a later stage and couldn't remember how exactly you processed it you could right click on the clip and there would be an 'Audiosuite Memory' option. Another menu would open from this listing all Audiosuite plugins used on the clip then for each one 'copy processed ...more »
During a sound effects editing session where a lot of Audiosuite processing is used it would be useful if Pro Tools would automatically save a copy of the pre-processed clip to a playlist. I usually duplicate this down myself so if I come back to the clip and I no longer like the fx precessing then I have the original below in the playlist ready to retrieve. If I've used multiple processes it would be handy to have an ...more »
Could we please get this option? This is how it used to work in the good old days, and it was better for real MIDI composing.
When switching a lot between slip and grid it happens from time to time that one does not realize that grid mode is already selected before pressing "F4" again. Pro Tools then switches to relative grid. Adding the ability to lock the relative grid mode the way also shuffle mode can be locked will solve this.
When using strip silence fade in and fade are being regarded as separate clips and edited when they are below/above threshold. Adding a check box "disregard fades" will solve this.
It would be awesome if we had the option to set a customizable default send level.
Right now we just have the option to default to unity or -INF but it would be super useful to have the option to input your own default level.
Personally I start most of my reverb sends at -10 so it would save me tons of time to just have every send default to -10 so I can either just leave it or adjust it slightly from there.
It would be awesome to see a summarized breakdown of the differences between tracks and the changes that will be applied with the selected options, perhaps a dialog box on the side or even a side-by-side comparison of the differences between the source and destination tracks.
OSC's standalone version of Deck had a "consolidate" feature i STILL wish would be implemented in ProTools... where it automatically snaps together all selected regions/clips in a track. ProTools "consolidate" is the same functionally as "duplicate" in Audiosuite - leaving all clips in place. With commit tracks there are now even more ways to render clips in place, but there's never been a way to automatically ...more »
You're working on a large session, you've got the majority of the tracks muted, yet still you have say 20 tracks soloed. I'd like to be able to hold control-option-shift and engage an already soloed track. It's solo light could turn blue (let's say) and you would only hear that track, and by clicking one more time the super solo button would revert it's normal solo state.
I want two more shortcuts for plugins on a channel.
1. Toggle all bypassed plugins to active and all active plugins to bypassed with key command plus click on a plugin insert or (more better without click) on selected track. Great for comparing plugins or chains.
2. Toggle active/ inactive plugin state. Exclude some plugins from #1 toggle comparisons.
It would be great for the Length counter in the main counter window to display the sum of the lengths of selected clips instead of the total time between the start of the first selected clip and the end of the last selected clip. This would allow us to do event math on the fly. I am a post editor, so I use event timecode math quite a bit... for example, I would select clips of identical locations in a show, and see ...more »
