Pro Tools ignores "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" on Windows 10 and seizes exclusive control

So here's my issue: I open a browser to search for sound effects (I use soundsnap and audioblocks), I can play a sound through my main audio interface (Focusrite Saffire Pro 56) just fine. If I launch ProTools, even through I have "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" UNCHECKED ProTools still stops the computer's ability to play back audio through the browser. I've isolated the issue and ...more »

MIDI notes remain on track outside clip after deleting clip portion

This happens when editing MIDI in sessions created by older versions. When you select a portion of a MIDI clip on the timeline and delete it, MIDI data including notes remain on the track outside of any clip and continue to play back. Same if you separate the clip on the timeline and delete one of the two new clips. It can be almost impossible to select and delete some MIDI data from the timeline. If you do manage to ...more »

Solo/Mute status inconsistent on hidden tracks

If you solo a track and then hide it, it looses it`s solo status / stops being soloed If you mute a track and then hide it, it keeps it`s mute status / keeps being muted This is inconsistent behaviour. Solo status should be maintained on hidden tracks just like mute does. Also, when working an an Icon D-Control, D-Command or S6 this works as expected, all hidden tracks then keep their solo and mute state. I`ve seen ...more »

Audio import selected files view does not locate to last file

As description says, the original design has never been updated to follow most recent files as they are added. User always sees top of list (first few adds) and must scroll down to see most recent, which is useless if adding 10 or 50 files. Seeing the last adds is the only way to reference where in import selection user is relative to source folder. I think it would be more useful to register view with each newly added ...more »
