I am getting Distortion in the Audio which is coming from the Standard ASIO weirdness but I can clear it up if I go the the Setup dialog and change the buffer size and back again and it goes away it would be nice to get this fixed and have a universal driver that supports all ASIO devices simultainiously. It only happen after a hour or more of playback but sometimes it happens right away. I know this to be an ASIO issue ...more »
When I load any session, its usually stops with the falling error “Some paths were made inactive because they could not be assigned to existing path definitions”. They the system ask to create a notes file. When using Step Input in 9.0.5 chords won't step input....If you plot in a chord, it seems like only the first note received will be plotted in. The instrument will 'sound' the chord but the track won't record the chord. I know step input may not the primary work flow for many PT users, but this is a serious bug, especially in an education context, where many users are not keyboard players and need any help they can ...more »
I'm using Pro Tools either on Mac and PC. Even though my Mac system is far superior in processing power than my PC (Mac: 4x quad-core, 8 GB of RAM -- PC: 1x dual core, 4 GB of RAM), I'm experiencing this: on Mac OSX, when trimming one or more clips (no matter how many of them), a slight delay/latch happens in moving the yellow trim line. This happens on each trim operation and during the first half a second only; moreover, ...more »
I have noticed that changing the pan depth in Pro Tools HD 10.1.1 is not working. If you take a Mono Aux track and put a signal generator on there with a setting of 1k tone @ -18dbsf and bus that internally to a stereo aux return you will notice the pan depth being implimented. If you switch the metering to show you peak values you will see it return on the stereo track at -20.5dbfs. This is showing the -2.5db pan law. ...more »

I just made a Vacuum patch yesterday and noticed something strange happening with the decay going from 192kHz to 96kHz.
The decay time in the patch I made is considerably shorter for a 96kHz session compared to a 192kHz session.
Here are that the patches I have problems with.
Try opening in both a 192k session and then in a 96k session.
Okay when I put together a pod cast I do I have multiple songs imported into pt ,(in mp3 format) for the most part they sound just like they did in my MP 3 player. However once in awhile I get a song that suddenly is"missing" elements. For instance the bassline may be gone or lowered or the snare or kick may suddenly be absent even the background sample will suddenly only appear in the hook part of the song. I am ...more »
Open a session with Delay Compensation disabled. Throughput latency will be low. Turn on Delay Compensation and it's a bit slower (naturally). Turn Delay Compensation back off and the latency never returns to it's previous state. Only closing/reopening the session, or toggling the Engine settings will return the system to the lowest latency analog throughput.
