For better region management i would like to see folders in the region list. It would be great if you could assign one or multiple tracks to a folder in the region list and all the recordings and edits of the track(s) end up in the designated folder in the region list. This folder could then also be created in the Audio Files folder for even better file management.
Big mixes require good organization, it would be great to be able to have track folders (for example-for your 32 tracks of drums!)
Let people organise the their plugins menu into folders & sub-folders the way they want. The plugin layout would be done with an Avid Standalone Application on the desktop (before loading Pro Tools) where the user can setup folders, sub-folders and place all the plugins into the desired place. Suggest to add a user created directory of folders in the clip bin. Drag and drop - moving parent or sub-clips into folders for easier management of files in the pro tools main window.
The Ability to record in the "Clip Source Window" a wild mono or stereo track, where the clip ends up in the Clip menu or a specified folder i.e Wild VO Records, saves a lot of time and maintains a clean timeline, rather than having to navigate through unneeded extra
tracks and clips on the timeline which is very time consuming. please see attachment.
At the moment Pro Tools uses absolute file reference for relinking. By that I mean, if you have a project on a drive: 'WORK' then when you move it to a different system it will always look for that exact drive. This means that every single time you move a project to an external drive and to a new system drive it, by default, loses all links and you have to spend time re-linking.
