Pro Tools seriously lags behind its competitors here. Here is a non-exhaustive list of improvements, if you have any more please add to comments. If I solo the 'Drum Aux' all tracks associated with that Aux should play, it is silly I have to solo all the tracks manually. It is my position that Eleven MKII would be better if Avid would have included an integrated environment that allowed you to easily setup complete guitar tones in one environment. As it stands now, you have to use several inserts to setup a guitar tone with effects before/after the amp. Currently in playlist mode you have two options under the playlist name: "Solo" and "Up Arrow". When comping vocals it is very common to track a bunch of takes and make main vocals, double vocals, and quad vocals. The same could be said for comping guitar tracks or anything that needs doubles or quads. If you look on the left, those two buttons leave enough real-estate for possibly 5 more buttons. Cubse and Studio One have recently implemented this feature and I think Pro Tools should to!
The ability to show only audio tracks or show only VCAs or Aux etc, it would be nice if you could select a combination like Aux and VCA for example, and the option to always keep the master fader presnets.
This would be good for setting up Window Configurations that you could quickly switch between on busy mixes.
We should not be limited to ten of each in 2017 and they should be freely draggable. I already have a feature request to allow a plug-in to be dragged in-between two contiguous plug-ins, not replace one!
I actually, really like how Harrison Mixbus has implemented inserts/sends where Insets and sends can be in any order but simply more than eight would be extremely beneficial to workflow
Bringing in OMF/AAF's all day would be way less tedious if I could import them they way I work with them. No volume automation. Only clip gain. You can currently import only with, or without volume automation.
I was thinking that it might be nice for you to be able to select a any range in your project and use them as a whole (or everything in your project from point a to b), then create a global sync point anywhere within that range, to be able to re-sync video and audio together without having disparate elements falling out of sync.
