When the audio engine in Pro Tools fails for whatever reason, Pro Tools will not work anymore unless the computer is restarted. This is just extreme. Any other application will work just by closing it and re-launching it. Please make Pro Tools support the same. Having to reboot is a major workflow disruptor.
I guess the title says it all. I wish Pro Tools could support changing sample rates without having to save, restart, re-open, etc. just like most other DAWs. It's quite a workflow breaker.
I know many users have already requested having unlimited tracks for LE, but limited tracks, I can deal with... I can use playlists, bounce stems, etc. However, the limited buses is really too much. There should be two types of buses (not necessarily at the UI level... more like the conceptual level): * Hardware buses: Limited by the hardware that Pro Tools connects to. * Software buses: Unlimited. Everyone who has bought a Windows system in the past 2 years has now 64-bit hardware. The advent of Windows7 might push everyone there over to using a 64-bit OS. 32-bit OS's/apps will not be around for much longer. Having access to more memory is worth alone the ...more »
Currently, once you have added automation to a channel fader, if you need to bump everything by, say, 2db, you need to select everything in the Edit window, and raise the level with the mouse. This is far from productive. "Tweak" mode would allow the user to move a fader, thus moving all automation points for the fader up or down by the same amount the fader is moved. This should be with the other automation modes (read, ...more »
