EDIT: sorry, apparently this has just been posted by someone else: http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Search-and-Filter-for-Commands-in-EuControl/241035-3779
Please report this idea as a duplicate, since I cannot do that myself.
would be a great timesaver, especially since not all protools commands are available in this section.
just like on the D-command
when a track with the Space plug-in is in a latch mode and during playback it it passes a 'snapshot' (i.e. the plug-in parameter) automation point, it will start writing automation to all the plug-ins parameters. When in touch/preview mode, it will also indicate the parameters have changed. I guess it's because the snapshot recalls and thereby 'touches' automation to all the plug-ins parameters. This means that you ...more »
in a session with considerable amount of busses it's virtually impossible to assign busses on sends or I/O's in a reasonably convenient matter. This could be hugely improved by spilling them across the lcds, or first browsing 'subgroups' (e.g. bus 1-20, bus 21-22, ...) before browsing the actual busses. Or maybe a combination, just like when inserting plug-ins (which works very nicely)
Right now if you want to change link/inverse pan/inverse rear/ F-/R inverse status, you have to do it in the pan window with the mouse. It would great to have to assigned to some of the sel/in buttons or even some extra encoders so you can access them from the S3 as well
Just like on the s3 e.g.
If you want to change the auto mode of a channel twice in a row, you have to double tap instead of single tap the corresponding sel button twice instead of once 95% of the time. In combination with the lack of proper visual feedback on the s3 this is very annoying.
When touching a fader during playback, the according auto mode button in the right side softkey section of that channel starts to blink. It would be great if this would also work when playback is stopped. It would also be great if this would work for the trim button as well. Of course this is no subsitute for a proper automation mode indicator on the lcds, but it would already be helpful.
Since the artist transport seems to be intended as a right handed device, it would make much more sense to have the shift key where the workstation key is. That way you could easily press the shift key with your thumb in combination with any other key. Right now you have to go through some plastic surgery first before you can use the transport single-handed in a convenient way. For now I m using it left-handed which has ...more »
