I'm sure I'm not the first to want this feature, but being able to add an eq before sending to a reverb ( without creating a whole extra aux and return channel) would add a lot of functionality and clear a ton of unnecessary clutter. Wow, no takers? Maybe I need to clarify? This feature is a no-brainer to me. OK, simple ( I hope) explanation. Having plugins on the send of a channel makes these plugins post channel plugins. ...more »
This has to the be worst Pro Tools has worked for me since I started using it. Elastic Audio is completely screwed. Here's a list of what's happening. - audio not changing when moving warp markers - can sometimes fix it by changing to monophonic and back to polyphonic but usually it just does not work. - Some warp markers moves do not change the waveform. The marker moves but the waveform stays the same. - When I finally ...more »
Yet another bug. Trying to draw out some nasty clicks and it just isn't working properly. In the video below you can clearly see that the waveform that is created is nowhere near where I'm drawing.
I am getting very tired of running into bugs every 5 minutes! This bug appears to be related to the other bug I posted about where track bounce bounces only stereo tracks. Exporting clips as files is doing the exact same thing. I went to export a mono bass part I had to render due to some other bug and it only gives me the option for interleaved or dual mono. This is getting ridiculous Avid! UPDATE: I verified this is ...more »
Pro Tools 12.7.1 has introduced a quite annoying bug. I am often zoomed in on a track while playing back and making adjustments to clips. I often stop the playhead and do some adjusting, re-locate the playhead and continue. Worked great in 12.7 but now when I stop the playhead the entire window jumps to a previous area. After moving to where I want it and hitting play again it jumps yet again to a previous area that is ...more »
I'm running Pro Tools 12.7.1 and just upgraded to Sierra and I'm finding the fader redraw is very laggy. I'm at 12% system usage on a track without any plugins on it just adjusting the volume with my mouse and the fader is jumping around like I'm on the verge of running out of resources. I'm running a late 2014 MBP 2.8GHz quadcore, 16GB ram and 512 SSD and Apollo silver face via Thunderbolt UPDATE: Two things seem to ...more »
I am scratching my head on this one. Whenever you do a track bounce it ONLY bounces stereo, even if the track is mono. If you switch to dual mono in the pop up dialogue menu then you get 2 mono ( L & R) ... even if its a mono track. This makes absolutely no sense. I feel this may be a bug or maybe it was just a missed implementation? I even tried selecting only mono tracks and it still bounces them as stereo. Soooo .... ...more »
I have had this issue for a long time and I know I'm not alone. After using elastic audio and rendering the results ( cmnd + shift + 3) I almost always get at least one huge spike and usually far more than 1. I believe this is caused when 2 warp markers are on top of each other. Since there is no easy way to determine whether or not there are 2 warp markers occupying the same space I usually have to render and hope that ...more »
I use group clip gain a lot. highlight an area and drag down and all grouped clips follow suite. The problem is that it does not work when I modify clip gain edit points. It would be great if these also worked together. I often use clip gain and then taper the beginning and ends by moving the edit points. The way it is now I have to taper each point independently.
I have been using the pencil tool to remove unwanted clicks from a slap happy acoustic guitar player. It works far better than it should but the waveform does not redraw once I zoom back out. It makes it impossible to tell whether or not I actually edited an area without replaying that region. When zoomed in it works as expected but at some point while zooming out the peaks reappear even though they do not exist anymore. ...more »
Since there is a lot of bleed when tracking drums and most drums have pretty different frequency content it would be great to have the ability to non destructively E.Q. before running strip silence. For instance, on snare drums with a lot of quiet grace notes it would be great to exclude all of the lower frequency content that would include the kick but not the snare. High hats are also a nuisance in this regard and could ...more »
