Crucial changes!

Hi, OK I bought PT LE 8 and I absolutely love the program, coming from another DAW. BUT I will chose Cubase instead, for now, until you can fix the digital mixdown and to customize shortcuts. There isn't any excuse not to have digital bounce today, it's 2010 guys! Also who needs to have the same key settings when everyone works different? I want to keep my left hand at the same place and always have my right hand on the mouse, that's when I am the most efficient. Ctrl+M is just too far a stretch without having to use my right hand as well. Besides you could have "import key settings" so you can go in and work anywhere just how you want. Please note, I really do love your software and I want to eventually end up using it, hopefully as soon as you have fixed this, these are major to me. But for now I will sell the mbox and software, I am disappointed that you are so slow with normal things as you have been with getting midi up to speed as you just have done, finally. Also the volume knobs on the mbox mini are hell to work with in recording, I move it a little and it makes too much change so trying to get a loud signal without distorting is difficult. I am a professional producer with hits around the world.

Clip Editor - used to prepare sound files for use in the Timeline. Within the Clip Editor, In and Out points are marked for looping a sound and sync points are programmed. Sync markers allow you to program peaks of a sound (or anywhere else) for easy drop into the Timeline. You can also create "sub-clips" which are saved to a Bin for later use. Sub-Clips point to the master clip and allow you to keep several versions of the same sound element, without using more hard disk space.

Edit Window Track color background

Going from 7.4 to 8.0.3, one of the negative changes has been the darker background color shades for audio tracks. Previously the background has always been much lighter than the audio waveform color. ie: dark blue, very light blue/almost white. Please give us back our previous track color arrangements!!
It's much easier on the eyes - for those of us who edit for many hours straight!!!

Like Mix/Edit/MIDI/Score... window, how about a window for the Master track or a new MasterING track which includes meters (peak,VU, FFT, aso), all plugins inserted visible, faders aso...
it hides the PT session behind it to give the mastering process a new look/feel...

Batch Trim

The trim function is a life saver, however i feel that when manually checking the crossfades before each transient, it would be great to be able to highlight all of the separated regions and trim the start of each region back say 40 samples using the trim tool. It would be a HUGE timesaver after using beat detective and correcting phase on sampled tracks.

Please add it!

Adjustable Brightness - Edit Window Background

The ability to adjust the brightness of the Edit Window Background would be make long sessions much easier on the eyes. Adjustable all the way from white to black would be ideal.

When Importing audio and making a new track option for drop

Top to Bottom or Left to Right should be selectable when importing not something that needs to be pre chosen before initiating the Import Audio command.

Being able to do both when importing large lists of audio would be fabulous, ie:
files 1, 2, and 3 Left to Right on a new track
4 -9 Top to Bottom on new tracks
10 - 15 Left to Right on a new track
16 - 19 Left to Right on a new track
20-30 Top to Bottom on new tracks

what would be bad ass super cool neatorific? A PT app for the IPad... remote control of PT.
basic, no frill's transport/faders/pan/record arm/mute/solo. maybe the option to automate...
im sure you've seen the remote apps in the app store already... and you coming out with an actual DIGI branded app would be huge! this could be really slick. you know... I'm sure you guys are already all over this so never mind.

Every time after I use my Micro, my MBP has a kernel panic. Pretty sure this is a known issue... i think I've read about it on the DUC.

After a year I've kinda gotten used to it, I know it's going to happen so I prepare. But It's still a pain.

Darker Edit Window Background!

The change from white to slightly gray is just not enough. There needs to an option to make the edit window background as dark as Logic. Some of us edit all day on large screens and our eyes just want to explode! Adding a slider to preferences would be perfect, like in iPhoto.
