Ok, that one might need a bit of explanation... When in an Automation Lane in the Edit Window, grabbing a line between two nodes works as expected. You move that (flat) line up or down. But we used to be able to grab the line between two nodes with the key modifiers option-shift, and conveniently, the Automation would ramp up and/or down from the previous or next adjacent nodes, creating something like a roof with the... more »
This idea has to have been brought up in the past, but I couldn't locate it with the search engine. What I'm talking about is a plugin that is basically an effects rack of plugins. If you have seen Nomad Factory Magma or Blue Cat Audio Patchwork, then you are already familiar with the concept I'm talking about. The difference between those 2 plugins being that you would be able use any of the plugins you have regardless... more »
Automation select sets to "off" when I select other features. Ex: when I select the "touch" feature while audio is playing it switches to "off" instead of "touch". No matter what automation feature I select while audio is playing it sets it to off.. Would love to be able to select automation features while audio is playing.
Since the earliest days of PT automation the mutes have been a stumbling block. Somehow even if mute automation is inactive on the automation panel, they get written. I, out of habit deactivate mute automation by going to medium track view, select mute automation view, and apply option/command on the mute button - this deactivates all mute automation, making it a stupid switch. There is a world where automated mutes are... more »
See that huge boost in the low-mid (screen shot #1 -- brown EQ band)? I didn’t do that, but it was there when I opened my session. That unexpected bump seems to even be saved in every single session backup file - so there’s no going back. My guess is that the plugin doesn’t correctly (or at all) save its values in the session file, so when PT tries to open the plugin, from any .ptx file or any session backup, it can’t... more »
Similar to noncontinuous edit selections and their editing (like applying clip gain to multiple object-selected noncontinuous clips), there could be the possibilitiy to perform automation on multiple noncontinuous selections. Object-selected noncontinuous clips will generate a noncontinuous timeline selection and performed actions like automation will only be written to the selected clips and not to non-selected clips.... more »
I would like to be able to choose for each track how to operate with write on stop automation commands. In audio post, I work by stem, mixing voices, then adding SFX, and then music. I often use the write to next point, or to the end command when beginning my work on a stem, but I disengage it when a first pass is done. So it would be great to be able to disengage write on stop for "finished" tracks (i.e. dialog track,... more »
If you want to change the auto mode of a channel twice in a row, you have to double tap instead of single tap the corresponding sel button twice instead of once 95% of the time. In combination with the lack of proper visual feedback on the s3 this is very annoying.
