A very useful function when remote recording from a live room (or similar) and away from the computer would be a customisable or preset screen with large transport buttons and and additional smaller touch buttons for "new playlist" etc.
The Avid Pro Tools Dock should be able to control Audiosuite Plugins.
Using Soft Knob to control plug-ins on Pro Tools I Control is great, but, switching parameters by pressing the SEL iPad button is a pain, because it's neither precise nor direct.
It would be great if pressing a Soft Knob would simply switch between parameters.
Futhermore the current behavior (parameter reset) can be achieve by Alt-touching the knob.
Make it possible to flip parameters for example the gain of en eq-band by pressing shift and option/alt and touching the correspondent knob or fader on the control surface. Just like if you shift option-click control points in the EQ graph.
When you are using Avid Pre you can set up the gain directly in the mixer window. It's work with other products like Millenia, RME, etc...
It's very helpful for musician who are recording alone like drummer by instance. You don't need to go back in front of your mixer window to change the gain value... more »
A Monitor Controller that sits on your desktop allowing you to control the output level of your Outputs.
I don't want to use an external Monitor Controller due to the phase differences and frequency shifting that they cause, a simple fader as a Master Out on my desktop could do the same thing.
Allow PROTOOLS CONTROL APP to provide personal mixes. For example: Create a send on each channel and allow up to 16 users /individual mixes from that send. Kind of like PRESONUS QMix does. This would be an INCREDIBLE feature for recording. All the studio would have to do is use hardware outs to feed the headphone amps and give each musician their own mix...
It would be really great to be able to draw curves on midi tracks for CC control on regions. Just like all the other DAW's out there.. Please make this happen and it will increase workflow :)
