Match Tracks on only selected tracks in Import Session Data Window

I can’t believe I haven’t asked for this before. A lot of the time I just want to import tracks from one session into another. The track James tend to match because I work with templates. Most of the time I want to just select a bunch of tracks and hit Match Tracks only on those tracks. I can’t seem to do this.

Make Zoom Presets recallable

Zoom presets (the 1-5 keys on the alpha keyboard) are currently stored on a per-session basis. I find this a tremendous pain; having to manually reset the Zoom presets to my preferred layout in any sessions I receive for mixing is a huge time waster, and they're not included in the Import Session Data dialog. Please make this recall-able in the Import Session Data dialog, or allow over-riding of Zoom Presets in sessions... more »

Updates to Import Session Data menu

The "Tracks" section of this menu needs an update so one can navigate and find tracks quicker. All of my sessions are large and track names don't always correspond literally to their contents so this display should be expandable and visually recall the sessions edit view somehow so one doesn't have to scroll and scroll or even pull up the actual session separately in order to find what you're looking for first.

Option to Retain Track Height on Import

In my standard session format, I like to have, for example, each kit piece at a 'Mini' size, so it's easier to navigate. Trouble is, whenever I import that to a different session, it makes them all whatever size is being used most recently there, meaning I have to resize all 12 tracks every time!

Would be great if the session data import screen had a checkbox option to retain origin track height.

Import From Session and Save Presets without automation

Currently it is not possible to import an instrument or retrieve a preset for a track without also importing its automation from the previous session. So every time you use any of the two features, you have to proceed to erase that automation after, track by track.

I think that this behavior is not the correct way it should work, and it should be adjusted by default to NOT importing / saving the automation, but the plugings,... more »

Pro Tools bugs

Import session data brings in tracks with either no clips at all or with different timecode from parent session.

Upon import into a new session, often the track will have no clips whatsoever on it (though the audio files are pulled into the new session). This used to happen only when the sessions had different timecode start times (which is itself an unforgivable bug, but w/e, you have a monopoly.), but recently it is happening even when all settings on both sessions are identical.

In addition, sometimes the clips WILL appear,... more »
