I wish you could COMMAND+DRAG the already created output of a track to the input of another for quick routing. You could do this for busses too.
Routing to: One audio track with input from said aux track
Why on earth does this routing incur latency? Even in a clean session with no plug-ins, there is a 15ms delay (128 samples H/W buffer size).
The idea is to print plug-ins (e.g., Slate Virtual Microphones or low latency Auto Tune) and not have to instantiate 50+ copies across a vocal dub/backing session.... more »
1. on PT11 or PT12, create an audio tracks with audio data.
2. in the audio track output, select "no output".
3. in the audio track send, send to any viable working output or bus and make sure the send levels are at unity.
4. play audio track and observe the meter.
audio track meter doesn't display any levels even though the audio signal is playing.

If the Low Latency selected path is at the top of the the bus I/O Tab, when LLM is engaged all the send busses on tracks show to be bypassed, these still pass audio although look to be bypassed.
This is the case when one of the buses is mapped to an output (chan 7&8 on the HD I/O) at the top of the bus tabs list.
We have a work around for it by leaving this bus at the top of the bus tab list.
Studio One has pipe line
Reaper has REAINSERT
And they both ping for latency. Unfortunately PROTOOLS does inserts by correspondending / matching channels and it's not good for Universal Audio users.
