Busses with user definable amount of channels - Ambisonics

I would like Pro Tools to allow the creation of busses that are user definable in number (perhaps via I/O window. Reaper software can do this. I want to do Ambisonics processing and need the bus channel to represent 1st, 2nd and 3rd order Ambisonics (i.e: 4, 9 and 16 channels) as a minimum. I appreciate this is not yet a feature requested by many, but it will do once the Ambisonics implementation for VR will kick off.... more »

Latency when recording through aux to audio track

Routing from: One aux track with input from microphone
Routing to: One audio track with input from said aux track

Why on earth does this routing incur latency? Even in a clean session with no plug-ins, there is a 15ms delay (128 samples H/W buffer size).

The idea is to print plug-ins (e.g., Slate Virtual Microphones or low latency Auto Tune) and not have to instantiate 50+ copies across a vocal dub/backing session.... more »

4. play audio track and observe the meter.

audio track meter doesn't display any levels even though the audio signal is playing.

When the Low Latency Monitoring is engaged and send busses on tracks are bypassed, they still pass audio

Community Member kudos icon + Community member

If the Low Latency selected path is at the top of the the bus I/O Tab, when LLM is engaged all the send busses on tracks show to be bypassed, these still pass audio although look to be bypassed.

This is the case when one of the buses is mapped to an output (chan 7&8 on the HD I/O) at the top of the bus tabs list.

We have a work around for it by leaving this bus at the top of the bus tab list.
