when you increase track size in the edit window, the focused tracks scroll off screen. It would be preferrable for the tracks to stay centered during zooming.
See attached videos.
With the current Single/Normal Zoom function you can only make a selection on one track. I would like this feature to be changed to combine with Zoom Toggle so that you can freely make a selection with the Zoom key and it will toggle to fit the screen. It eliminates one extra step of making a selection and pressing E. I'd rather be able to do this all-in-one.
The majority of applications for Mac (and also some for Windows) support the two-finger pinch-to-zoom in/out gesture on touchpads, yet Pro Tools does not.
Cmd [ ] is great, but having this gesture-based functionality enabled would definitely make for faster workflow when moving around a session.
The two-finger drag works, so why not this?
Option to automatically switch from whatever selected tool to Pencil Tool when zoomed in at sample level view, and return to previously select tool when zoomed back out. For Example, When jumping in and out of clicks you can be in smart tool say then chiclet #3 to magnified wave view at chicklet#5, draw out click, then chicklet back out to #3 to previous view and get back to smart tool. = nicer work flow.
It is still impossible to make small incremental adjustments to the clip gain while in fullscreen and zoom mode (shortcut "E") without the level jumping down by 30 - 40 dB.
This happens because the mouse pointer is at the bottom of the screen, and as such, the only workaround is to make the edit window smaller. Let's hope for a fix by the end of 2018!
There is a shortcut for reset waveform zoom level crtl-alt-command-[
Maybe also a shortcut for zoom waveform to maximum crtl-alt-command-]
