When using volume automation to attenuate harsh sounds, such as fret noise on guitars (see attached example image), it would be beneficial to have the option to render the automation to the audio offline, thus not having to bus the audio to a new track and record.
An additional "playlist" style option for each track that would let you recall plugin chains and automation sets.
This way instead of importing session data from previous mix revisions in order to undo silly client requests while still keeping all other mix revision changes you could just jump back to an other playlist of automation and plugins assignments/settings for each track individually.
Right now, the increments are very small, like 0.1 dB per detent.
There could be a preference of how many dB one detent of the scrollwheel changes (like 0.1 or 0.5 or 1.0 or 2.0 or ...).

In the Edit Window Clipnames are not visible when using Automation View (Pan,Vol etc)
They should be visible or , at least , there should be a preference to turn it on and off.

there could be the possibilitiy to perform automation on multiple noncontinuous selections.
Object-selected noncontinuous clips will generate a noncontinuous timeline selection and performed actions like automation will only be written to the selected clips and not to non-selected clips.... more »
In audio post, I work by stem, mixing voices, then adding SFX, and then music.
I often use the write to next point, or to the end command when beginning my work on a stem, but I disengage it when a first pass is done.
