Aren't we tired of all the concessions when it comes to manual midi control? Avid should think of a rugged, Eucon based (so a lot more steps then the 128 steps midi provides via HUI) midi keyboard! It could be several versions like the other manufacturers, 25, 49, 61 and 88 keys, or pick one or two. As well I would love to have a serious amount of rotary control knobs to control all different kind of plugins which are ...more »
I have a 4K monitor, whenever I load an AIR plugin my entire DAW will stop scaling and go really tiny, making it very difficult to use. I use 150% scaling for all programs for my 31 inch screen and whenever I load an AIR plugin it over rides the scaling for the entire DAW. The only fix I know is using a different resolution and stop using scaling, but I want a REAL fix. Anyone got any advice? I don't have an avid support ...more »

I have an active/payed for activations but because of some sort of error I couldn't activate my product to finish working with a very important and urgent music release. I have tried everything myself, so I ended up manually de-activating a licence from my iLok2 so that I could activate it again, but once I did it I completely locked myself out from using the software! I am using Avid products starting from March 2017 ...more »
Some of the most popular feature requests on here were originally posted in 2009. Things like track folders, which are available in virtually every other DAW, but even more needed in Pro Tools, where film mixers have several hundred tracks to grapple with. That's a lot of scrolling. Instead of focusing on things like Atmos integration, which affects a tiny fraction of your users, please implement the features your larger ...more »
I was hoping to get a better picture about MIDI velocity where it pertains to crossfading between two samples of the same instrument. I thought that that was part of the improvement of using sampled instruments was that there is a crossfade between a sample recorded softer and a sample recorded louder and that the greater the velocity, the greater the BLEND of the two sample become until the higher sample is most dominant. ...more »
It would be great to have constant access to the Omni's hardware mixer during tracking and mix sessions, without having to navigate through Setup / Hardware / Mixer. It could be a floating window, or optional micro faders in the menu bar. Or even a keystroke to provide immediate access to the Mixer page. One example: my Mac's input comes in through the optical input. I use it to audition sound effects, RX, and to play ...more »
Avid Application manager directory traversal vulnerability
>100 Threads >250 MB RAM 30-40% CPU usage on a 2.6GHz i7 That's a pretty typical usage I'm seeing from a combination of the 'AvidApplicationManager' and 'AvidAppManHelper' processes on macOS 10.12.4, which by default are always running! Furthermore, the app manager is also causing huge slowdown on system startup, sometimes immobilizing it for up to 10 minutes. These are way more resources than any update manager should ...more »
ProTools on a mac looks great, but the Windows design is way behind. The Edit and Mixer windows for example (and any other open screen): they still have Windows 7 design... ButI think the Windows users deserve a bit more than that...
Why not adapt the minimize/ close buttons to the same design as all windows programs use under W10.
