some way of converting S5 automation to Pro Tools and maybe Pro Tools to S5
Lots of knobs with buttons to map 7 band parametric EQ's, etc. like D-Control does. Would also be great for synthesizers, delays, reverbs, anything that has more parameters than can be addressed with the 8 encoders on current units so as not having to scroll through page after page.
As you do with the M-Audio Keyboard and with the C24, allow users to custom map 3rd party plug-ins on the Artist Series
Release a Euphonix-branded single motorised fader and transport controller with a small desktop footprint akin to the Frontier Alphatrack and PreSonus FaderPort but much better and with EuCon integration. Would be very handy for portable rigs who don't want to drag around their MC Control or MC Mix.
1. First would have to be full EuCon support. You should be able to expand to 32 faders (four units) with a transport unit like the MC Transport (or even better, include the function in a main surface, then have expandable... more »
The current connection system for multiple MC units is flimsy and of poor design. Try moving 4 connected units from a desk- it's a wobbly flimsy POS.
There needs to be an option to connect some sort of rigid support bar across the underside of all units to create a SOLID connection solution.
When a track is hidden in Pro Tools it can't be assigned to a fader on the Artist Series controllers like MC Control and MC Mix, and thus the solo and mute buttons don't work either. This works with Command 8, as well as D-Command and D-Control. It seems an oversight not to enable this in the Artist Series.
The soft keys window either needs to be angled up so it can be seen straight on from a seated position, or there needs to be an adjustment for viewing angle. If it were angled up it would have the added benefit of a less deep footprint.
I could do without the transport section. I never use it and find the Pro Tools key commands faster. It eats up valuable real estate. I would rather either lose the right side of the console and move the buttons underneath the soft keys to make it smaller, or have four more faders on the right side for a total of eight.
I would like to be able to program soft keys to control specific tracks so that I don't need to use up one of my four faders to mute/solo guide tracks or auxiliary faders that I frequently toggle on and off.
I think the MC Color would be great as surround panners -
Think of it - could be simple to implement as there's no moving parts with the balls. Once you let go - the control sound is in position.. and when you touch the ball again - you could move it around accordingly. Might not be as dead-accurate as a Joystick - but would still be very usefull! :)
We all do different jobs and we all use ProTools for our own purposes. Some record, some mix and some master. Some people are sound designers and some are songwriters.... more »
Would be nice that if you hard assign a fader to track 20... when you're cycling thorugh your unassigned faders, eucon would take out the 'other' track 20.. so you're not wasting a fader.
I find this would be useful when in editorial mode, as I'd like to keep my dialogue, FX, music and master on the extreme right.. but DONT want them showing up on the other faders as I'm scrolling around.
I find that if i have Protools up, and I flip to eucon to change something (assignment etc) - by default I always hit Command Q. Is there anyway to add an "are you sure you want to Close Eucon? Yes/No" ?
Current setup from left to right is: MCMIX, MCMIX,TRANSPORT and MCMIX
Centered on the desk, the 2nd MC-Mix is pretty much to my center position.
Workflow wise, when I want to activate a plugin or config - all the parameters by default spill over to the left-most MC. This is where things get annoying as my eyes are still looking center... now i have to lose my train of thought... more »
