This could be useful in preventing disk errors buy determining which disk are be used the hardest and could also be a great way to if say your sample drive was reaching its maximum bandwith.
Would be a good tool in to troubleshooting system errors
For a good dynamic range throughout the entire PT system and to keep digital artefacts like quantization noise to a minimum i'd like to see full 32-bit file support.
I wish I could choose to show different tracks in Edit and Mix window. For example I don't need to see the aux tracks in the edit window unless I need to automate it.
Would make life so much easier, especially when recording with multiple mics.
It's a pain when you need to cut midiregions that the notes are not cut off as well.
For better region management i would like to see folders in the region list. It would be great if you could assign one or multiple tracks to a folder in the region list and all the recordings and edits of the track(s) end up in the designated folder in the region list. This folder could then also be created in the Audio Files folder for even better file management.
While dragging with the selection tool your selection snaps to the transients and preferably to a zero crossing point before the transient.
As an extension to the already great tab to transient function.
Remove track/bus limitations for Native or at least unbundle them from Video and offer them at a reasonable price.
ReWrite PT Native into something new and forward thinking. Go beyond making it a program that will work inside of a 64 bit environment and make a truly 64 bit program in it's own right. Give it a set of features that not only meets what your competiton is offering, but exceeds it on all fronts.
Raise the bar and let Native take full advantage of the awesome power of todays PC's and Mac's.
The mp3 option should become a standard feature, instead of the extra cost addition it is now. The ability to choose an encoder (LAME, etc..) would be nice as well.
An aux track that is setup to mute during record, and then unmute when the transport stops. This way you don't need to manually setup an aux that you need to remember to mute and unmute in between takes. This would be great for a drum talkback where a Gate or ducker just won't cut it. It could be put as a track option near the Click Track in the Tracks menu.
