relink AND MOVE/COPY missing audio files

Include a 'Relink and COPY to session audio files folder' as well as 'Relink and MOVE to session audio files folder' option into the missing audio files window. I know, file management should be nailed in the first place. However, I often receive session files from clients for mixing and I spend too much time sorting out somebody else's mess. These two options will make my life much easier. Thanks for voting this idea ...more »

Keep incomplete (real-time) bounces that ended with an error

When a real-time Bounce to Disk ends prematurely because of any error (90% of the cases are CPU spikes that stop it in random points), don't delete it, letting the user running another bounce from the point it stopped! Realtime bounces are still needed when passing through analog hardware. I'm using Pro Tools since 2004, and since then I had the problem of bounces stopping randomly; so I find myself running smaller, ...more »

Whichever screen mouse is hovering over, shortcuts automatically affect.

Users who have multiple screens set up and frequently go back and forth between the Edit and Midi editor will know the frustration of hovering over one window with the mouse, using a zoom (or other) shortcut, and having the previously selected window zoom in or out. I'd love to see a feature where the shortcuts (like zoom in/out) affect the screen that the mouse is currently hovering over without having to click somewhere ...more »

Allow all keyboard MIDI controllers to act like controller surfaces.

I would like to have a feature in Pro Tools where I could use a MIDI keyboard as a surface controller when mixing, for panning, changing volume levels on tracks, setting FX levels on Bus sends, automation etc. While I know that you can mdi map some thing in pro tools and enable automation using a key command, I would like to have that same thing done only use a midi keyboard using a cc number that is assigned to a rotary ...more »

Mix nomenclature View inconsistency

The Track Label (aka - scrbble strip) is below the faders but the Aux Sends name labels are above their faders. I seem to inadvertently grab the wrong aux channel fader. If your display is at eye level, you would have to look above center in order to see the aux fader before you would see its label. So you have to look past theaux fader to determine which send fader you are looking at. Although the opposite is true when ...more »

Movable Scribble Strip in all mix views

Whenever you're scrolled up to instruments or inserts in the mix window, in most cases, you can no longer see what track you're on since it is beyond the display view at the bottom. Scribble strips on an actual console is always at the armrest. That is not what happens on a computer screen. Wouldn't it be nice if you could un-dock and drag the scribble strip up to above the pan pots for instance or otherwise is always ...more »

ARTIST Series - multiple units bank as ONE

I see this has been entered before but somehow it is still not addressed. Regardless of how many Artist MC and Mixes are connected, banking always occurs 8 tracks at a time, instead of all at the same time. I.E., I have 20 Channels and I would expect, when I bank, that it would bank channels 1 MC Control + 2 MC Mix= Tracks 1 - 20 Tracks 21 - 40 Tracks 41 - 60, and so on. Other Artist Series combination configuration ...more »

Artist MC Touchscreen buttons follow banking when beyond 32

Please add your vote. The 32 tracks touch buttons (squares) in the MC control screen in “TRACKS” tab does not follow banking when you exceed 32 tracks. So all the faders bank to the new tier (I.E. Tracks 33 to 40, while the touchscreen buttons still remain on the previous Track 1-32. That seems odd, based on how all other things follow banking selection. Should the touch screen tracks not follow banking? The MC touch ...more »
