Users that had CPTK forced to HD license should be paying the vanilla Yearly fee, not the HD fee for subscription,

Users that had CPTK forced to HD license when avid discontinued it- should be paying the vanilla Yearly fee not HD for subscription, As did not have another option and also we don't have any HD or DSP cards, this is something we paid for along with Pro tools LE to use basic things like more tracks and automation modes and at the time it was an add on we paid 2k for and continued to upgrade the LE version at scale and... more »

Pro Tools 12.2 Plugins Ignore the High DPI scaling in Windows 10

Am I the only person who is having this issue? I'm using a Samsung 28" 4K monitor and whenever i use any of the Avid plugins in Pro Tools (Specifically and of the AIR products and Xpand 2) my whole DAW window shrinks in size and is unreadable. Before image: http://tinypic.com/r/2lboltz/8 After Image http://tinypic.com/r/dot9aa/8 It's like as if the plugins overwrite the High DPI scaling done by Windows 10. IS there... more »

Better controls for EQ automation on S3

When using the Pro Tools S3 with EQ3 7-band or Channel strip plugin the parameter slope is missing when you press EQ in the upper row knobs on the console. This is really annoying since every other parameter is there. Another thing is that the HPF and LPF enable buttons can be edited both with the in button and a knob. A simple solution would be to use this knob for the slope parameter instead.

Allow drag and drop of clips into VI's from timeline or workspace

Prior to AAX it was possible to find samples in workspace, then drag and drop them directly into a sampler such as Structure, Kontakt, Battery, Maschine etc. With the introduction of AAX the drag and drop functionality was removed from the AAX format. Please reinstate it! It is very inconvenient and infuriating to have to find a sample in workspace or timeline, then work out the audio path, memorise it, and go into... more »

iPad Video Satellite App

I'd love to see an iPad/iPhone video satellite app for accurate video playback synced to Pro Tools. It would be great to have a variety of connection options (USB cable, Blue Tooth, WiFi)

This would be particularly helpful for mobile users, freeing up valuable laptop screen real estate and system resources. Speaking for myself, I'd be happy to pay for an app with this functionality.

Movable Scribble Strip in all mix views

Whenever you're scrolled up to instruments or inserts in the mix window, in most cases, you can no longer see what track you're on since it is beyond the display view at the bottom. Scribble strips on an actual console is always at the armrest. That is not what happens on a computer screen. Wouldn't it be nice if you could un-dock and drag the scribble strip up to above the pan pots for instance or otherwise is always... more »

Mix nomenclature View inconsistency

The Track Label (aka - scrbble strip) is below the faders but the Aux Sends name labels are above their faders. I seem to inadvertently grab the wrong aux channel fader. If your display is at eye level, you would have to look above center in order to see the aux fader before you would see its label. So you have to look past theaux fader to determine which send fader you are looking at. Although the opposite is true when... more »

Pro Tools | Control features

Whichever screen mouse is hovering over, shortcuts automatically affect.

Users who have multiple screens set up and frequently go back and forth between the Edit and Midi editor will know the frustration of hovering over one window with the mouse, using a zoom (or other) shortcut, and having the previously selected window zoom in or out. I'd love to see a feature where the shortcuts (like zoom in/out) affect the screen that the mouse is currently hovering over without having to click somewhere... more »
