Say that you're working on some tracks on the S3. You want to jump to your VCA layout or any other layout for that matter, make some quick adjustments for balance, maybe mute/solo a couple of things, It would be great to be able to hop back to where you were. It would be great to be able to re-assign the select button on the S3 via Eucontrol prefs. For those using the VCA spill workflow, this would be killer. I know that a lot of users find that having the select button in between the faders can be a bit tight. When using a VCA within a VCA, it would be great if the behaviour followed the parent/child nesting model. For example. In my main drum VCA, I have sub VCA's for snare, kick, close mics, far mics etc. I add the sub VCA's to the main drum VCA so that when I spill the main drum VCA, I have my sub-groups all laid out. It's great to have the talkback functionality on a Pro Tools S3. It would be even better, when it would be possible to mute talkback automatically when Pro Tools is recording and open it when in play or stopped.
Make it possible to flip parameters for example the gain of en eq-band by pressing shift and option/alt and touching the correspondent knob or fader on the control surface. Just like if you shift option-click control points in the EQ graph.
Please improve the rotary encoder kinetics. At the moment they are jumpy, either responding to slow or to fast. They need to be much more linear.
When soloing one or more channel, all other channel mute buttons lit up. This is not the appropriate behaviour. Their state should stay the same, just like in the edit- and mix windows. There is no reason why those mute buttons lit up, as it is already indicated that tracks are soloed, by their solo buttons being lit, as well as by the blinking clear solo button.
Please add an option to disassociate the computer keyboard modifier keys from Eucon control surfaces. I am often recording/editing on a Pro Tools session at the same time the engineer is operating the control surface. If I am using the OPTION key and he touches a fader at the same time, it jumps to 0dB.
in a session with considerable amount of busses it's virtually impossible to assign busses on sends or I/O's in a reasonably convenient matter. This could be hugely improved by spilling them across the lcds, or first browsing 'subgroups' (e.g. bus 1-20, bus 21-22, ...) before browsing the actual busses. Or maybe a combination, just like when inserting plug-ins (which works very nicely)
Right now if you want to change link/inverse pan/inverse rear/ F-/R inverse status, you have to do it in the pan window with the mouse. It would great to have to assigned to some of the sel/in buttons or even some extra encoders so you can access them from the S3 as well
If you want to change the auto mode of a channel twice in a row, you have to double tap instead of single tap the corresponding sel button twice instead of once 95% of the time. In combination with the lack of proper visual feedback on the s3 this is very annoying.
