It would be handy to retrieve parameter settings from a clip that has been processed by an Audiosuite plugin If you wanted to go back to a processed clip at a later stage and couldn't remember how exactly you processed it you could right click on the clip and there would be an 'Audiosuite Memory' option. Another menu would open from this listing all Audiosuite plugins used on the clip then for each one 'copy processed ...more »
During a sound effects editing session where a lot of Audiosuite processing is used it would be useful if Pro Tools would automatically save a copy of the pre-processed clip to a playlist. I usually duplicate this down myself so if I come back to the clip and I no longer like the fx precessing then I have the original below in the playlist ready to retrieve. When using clip effects, my keyboard dies. It works for about a minute then anything on the edit screen won't work.
Play, tab, shortcuts - all dead. I can save and access the top menu bar but nothing else.
It seems to only happen when you keep the clip effects window open.
When i toggle it open / closed, my keyboard will be fine.
As soon as I left the clip effect window open for a few minutes it froze again.
As it stands the clip effects are useless. It needs input and output metering as well as gain reduction metering. Also, there is the bug that many parameters are not adjustable (makeup gain etc, apparently also some of the eq bands), until the clip has been copy/pasted once in the edit window
It would be cool to have the option to have the waveform of a clip updated so it shows the the changes made with clip effects. Waveforms would look the same as if you rendered the clip effect only you don't have to render and can easily change clip effects parameters later on
Like in ableton or cubase midi effects like arpeggiators ,chord plug ins, pitch plugs etc. that can be used to trigger xpand or any other rtas instrument
