Reaper has a fantastic editing function that allows clips to SNAP to other clip boundaries when dragging, as well as to markers. The more I edit in Reaper the more I miss this feature in Pro Tools and it is handy beyond words. We should look into upgrading the way in which we currently can edit a file by drawing in a waveform, ny ideas are: -When Zooming in to waveform level, have a vertical scale in dB at least to see when it clipped, or how far are we from clipping -Have an option to zoom and switch to pencil tool automatically -Also removing certain things from a sound can be super hard when you can't actually see whats going on on the ...more »
I'd like to see divergence features from the surround panner available on surround audio tracks. It would be helpful to adjust width or center % of multichannel audio tracks. This could be functionally similar to the Waves S360 plugin.

How about playlists, found on the tracks, to be featured on markers.
I like to import different arrangement markers and currently, I have to save them to a new session with a reference track and import into my track when I write.
It would be really good to group, say, a reference track and a marker track and switch up different arrangements from markers. Pretty cool!,
Would be nice if when selecting multiple clips using with the Grabber in Object mode, if it the length calculation was the length of those selected clips instead of insertion length on the timeline. Good example of this is ... "Hmm.. i wonder what the duration of these 5 cues are?".. Grabber ... Object mode.. shift click each Cue Clip.. and voila! If I delete a clip from the timeline, select usused and move it to trash... it doesn't go to the trash. Not searchable. It's just GONE.😡
In order to have very short track names i would like to use the "&" symbol as a ideally short name for my MIX-BUS (where all signals are "added"). Unfortunately pro tools does not show up this [&]-symbol inside the bus-menu which is confusing.

Note: The alternative "Σ" [Sigma] symbol is used for my MASTER before Mixbus already.

The name of a consolidated cliip is derived from the track name, which many times makes a lot of sense. However, there are tasks when i would be happy when the names would be derived from the clip itself: e.g. when prepariing mixes for mastering or master in PT i need to add fade ins/out to my mix, RX-denoise the intro of the song, comp an outro of another mix .... all situations where i work with perfectly named files ...more »
