Just thought about a 'click and hold' on the metronome button to bring up a little Volume Fader. Although you can use the Aux/Audio Track fader, I'd rather have that all hidden away, saved for when I need to go in on it. Instead of having to reach for the volume fader, how about a little volume slider (like the one you see in the Workspace Browser) displayed with a click and hold action, same as using the 'Trim' tool? ...more »
On the mix window, meters are displayed to the right of the fader (i.e. after it), yet the default meters in PT are PRE-fader. It would be a lot clearer and more intuitive if these were shown the other way around, with any pre-fader meter placed just before its corresponding fader. The tall faders on PT 11/12 are great for larger screens, but the shorter PT 10 ones worked better for smaller laptop screens. Please bring them back as one of the fader type options!
Pro Tools would benefit from having recallable mix "scenes" (or Automation parameter scenes) available within a single session. Users should be able to generate and store an arbitrary number of recallable scenes. When a scene is recalled, the faders, pans, send, plug-in settings/bypass, etc all change to their saved vales. This is a real killer... If nothing else, PLEASE enable the ability to Flip the fader to control Sends... I can live without the rest, but this was a basic (& GREAT) function on the Cmd*8, and is present, to my understanding, on the S3.
For those of us not owning (and not interested in owning) an S3, this one pice of functionality would really help.
