It would be great if I could pan a send using the surround panner. Currently, the PT Control app can only pan a surround send using the individual parameters and not the touch screen panner.
When bouncing to a Quicktime movie in 5.1 in PT 12.8.0 and lower, the track order is wrong when playing the resulting file in other applications. It appears as though Film order us being used, and SMPTE/ITU order is expected.
Sometimes we need to add a plugin to just 1 side of a Stereo track, so we insert a Multi-mono plugin, un-link, then press the bypass button on the side we are not working on. But the problem with this is that the bypassed side is still using DSP power (even though it's on bypass), so what we need to do is to be able to "De-activate" the plugin on 1 side (or any other side on a surround track, LCR, Quad, 5.1, 7.1 etc...) ...more »
Be Aware.. I have a 7.1 Output in my I/O. When using a 5.1 Bus & mapping to the 7.1 Output you lose the Rear Surrounds. If you create a 5.1 Output & Map your 5.1 Bus to that it works fine. Sat with a Dolby Specialist & diagnosed this..There is a bug when mapping to the 5.1 bus of a 7.1 output.
Add a control room pannel with a fader or knob to control the listening output volume and surround tools like mute and solo for each channel.
