We could use the ability to solo a bus instead of having to select all the individual tracks in order to hear the mix. As you can see in the image below, in order to hear all the tracks routed to "Break Mix" I have to solo each one. It's not so bad when there are 2 tracks but with big sessions this gets complicated. As you can see in that image there are two blank spots next to "Mute" and "Solo." These could be use... more »
We adjust send levels in Pro Tools by mouse clicking on a bus, this loads a slim floating fader outside of the mix window. We then need to click and drag this floating fader to set the send volume level. Wouldn't it be great if we didn't need to open up the floating fader? Instead, we adjust the send level over the instance of the bus like a plug-in slider? This would save countless mouse clicks within a mix.
I think it would be great if we could organize our busses in specific folders that can be named: I use and update a mix I/O setup that currently contains several hundred busses, each for a specific job for a specific instrument (e.g. Bus Drums, Drum Effect 1 etc.). When I want to assign these busses in the edit or mix window, the busses are presented to me in groups of 128 (see attached picture), which can be extremely... more »
This is glitch on Mono Trakcs only (on the Sends slots). Mono buses that are currently in use don't show up in "Yellow" to indicate it's being used. For example: If bus 1-2 is being used on stereo track somewhere, bus 1 (Mono) or bus 2 (Mono) won't be in Yellow for when your setting a bus on a Mono Tracks Sends. So it looks like the bus is free but's really it's being used. I'm currently using PT 12.5.0, 12 processor... more »
Select Tracks and when you create a new Bus Track, those tracks Outputs are automatic assigned to the Input of the New Bus Track (that also automatically get a Bus Input)
I've just started my first score mix for an Atmos feature film, working in Atmos Bed 7.1.2 format, in PT 2018.3 (I assume it was the same for previous versions, though have not checked). I'm running a single HDX card. The issue: .7.0.2 and .Overhead subpaths don't work correctly on internal busses (but they do work on output busses). step ---- 1. on PT11 or PT12, create an audio tracks with audio data. 2. in the audio track output, select "no output". 3. in the audio track send, send to any viable working output or bus and make sure the send levels are at unity. 4. play audio track and observe the meter. results: ---- audio track meter doesn't display any levels even though the audio signal is playing. expected results: ---- the audio track meter... more »
If the Low Latency selected path is at the top of the the bus I/O Tab, when LLM is engaged all the send busses on tracks show to be bypassed, these still pass audio although look to be bypassed.
This is the case when one of the buses is mapped to an output (chan 7&8 on the HD I/O) at the top of the bus tabs list.
We have a work around for it by leaving this bus at the top of the bus tab list.
