I would like to lock guide track (or any other chosen track) in edit and mix window so that it would stay always visible when you scroll through tracks. Excel has this feature, but cannot find its name there. Would be very useful!
Under "View" we can change the width of all the tracks in the Mix Window to either standard (Wide) or Narrow. The only drawback to the narrow view is that plug-ins and track names become heavily abbreviated making it a challenge to quickly read a plug-in or track name I would like to have the choice of track widths in the mix window. Does ANYBODY need the auto-generated suffix ".dup" instead of just counting up "1"?
SPACE for track names is very limited. Deleting "dup" just wastes TIME. Even by batch.

Create a function to a selected track (by a clip or otherwise) becomes solo. Cubase has this feature (optional). To listen (and editing), it's fantastic. This is faster than: click + "shift S".
It would be great to be able to lock track height or a group track height. I know one can make memory location to set and retrieve various track heights - however this would be faster.... particularly in post production editing and mixing movie soundtracks, when there can be hundreds of tracks, it would be helpful to lock track heights to a small size and still be able to see them on the screen but keep them small while... more »
After using the 'track freeze function' I wanted to trim and duplicate a portion of 'frozen' audio, but Pro Tools 12.4 does not allow this.
It would be good to allow basic editable functions of frozen audio clips, like functionality found in Ableton Live 9 software. Using Ableton we can currently move; edit, cut, copy, paste and trim AFTER tracks have been frozen.
I would love to be able to see more visual separation of sections of my mix in the edit view window. I often find myself putting in extra tracks to act as separators between elements in my mix. If I could insert a dedicated 'separator' track - that looked unique in some way - it would work well as a quick visual reference for navigating my way around the more complex mixes. The maximum amount of tracks I am able to create should be dictated by my system capabilities and not by an arbitrary number.
We should not have to upgrade to Pro Tools HD to have more tracks active.

For film and TV: If I send a session from a template to an editor (or several), who does some work and changes track names to something helpfully descriptive (Cars 1-4, Rain 1-8, etc.), I'd like to be able to match tracks back into my master session, and include their changed track names as well as the clips. please fix the bug - in pt v12.5 , 12.6 one cannot make a sync point in the video track - this has previously been a function of pro tools for many prior years.
What if all muted tracks/channels would show their volume levels in a dark grey (dull) colour? Often in big sessions it's a bit confusing (to me) seeing all the (muted) coloured levels jumping up and down without hearing them. In my opinion this feature would improve the general overwiew in the mix window. There could be a tick box in the preferences to allow muted track volume levels to be shown greyed out. Changing the track view to a sends level (or mute and pan for that matter) is ridiculously involved considering how often this task is performed, especially when all 10 sends are being used on a track. As far as I can tell, Option-clicking on a send does nothing other than open that sends fader. So it would be nice to add some functionality to an Option-Click on a send. It is my understanding that the match tracks function currently only looks at track names (correct me if I'm wrong). There are times when tracks get renamed in a newer version of the session, but the waveforms stay the same. The match tracks function no longer works in cases like this.
