As you do with the M-Audio Keyboard and with the C24, allow users to custom map 3rd party plug-ins on the Artist Series
Lots of knobs with buttons to map 7 band parametric EQ's, etc. like D-Control does. Would also be great for synthesizers, delays, reverbs, anything that has more parameters than can be addressed with the 8 encoders on current units so as not having to scroll through page after page.
1. First would have to be full EuCon support. You should be able to expand to 32 faders (four units) with a transport unit like the MC Transport (or even better, include the function in a main surface, then have expandable... more »
It would be awesome if you could spill VCA groups out onto EuCon surfaces similar to the Icon functionality. I think it would be way faster than setting up layouts for every group I already made in Pro Tools.
These layouts cant be saved/imported/exported or used outside the session you create them in.
I suggest the layouts get stored in the protools session document so that they can be imported/exported using the PT Import session data window similarly to custom fader groups.
They would... more »
Here's what I'd like to see:
-Select the tracks in PT you want to create a layout from
-Click a to-be-invented-button called "create new layout from selection".
-Name the layout in the Eucon-app.
Currently I have to scroll down an endless list of tracks 16 times to assign 16 faders to a single layout. Takes for ever in a film session... more »
MC Control used to have fader flip to control Aux's in HUI mode on a soft key. MC Mix still has fader flip so why is it not available on the Control? I find this a very useful tool when automating sends, I hope others do too.
I would like to be able to program a default function of the Shuttle and Jog Wheel instead of having to press a soft key to engage a function I use 90% of the time. In Protools and Reason, I primarily use the Jog wheel to jog through the session and the Shuttle Wheel to scrub audio. This would free-up precious soft key real estate which I can use for other important things like Markers Jumps.
Users need the option to use the knobs on Artist Control and Artist Mix in a Linear fashion, where a given range of knob-sweep outputs a given range of control data, regardless of speed of turning the knob.
The way it works now is driven by velocity: You get more control sweep the faster you turn the knob, and finer-grained control for slower moves.
Accelerated knobs can be handy for quickly... more »
Why is this so important?
Let's assume we have a very large session.... more »
The current ASIO/Core Audio type bridging is terrible ans doesnt work.
Either make a plugin that inserts on the master fader or a separate page but most of all id really like to be able to use the monitor control pot on the MC control for something, preferably my monitor level... more »
It would be nice if the eucon would display a "t" instead of "rw" on the scribble strip when in touch mode.
Just a little visual consistency between the console display and then the DAW..
In the near further I would love to see a Eucontrol update that would enable me to assign additional frequently used functions to the side function keys of the MC Mix (Chan, Inserts buttons etc...). I would assign a button that would select all tracks. Another button would select certain groups in PT9 and so on.
Would be great if you could assign eucon faders from within protools, that would then just auto-assign when launching your session...
It's very clumsy as-is using the eucon assign. It should be full recall, and not outside of protools whatsoever.
