Would be great if we all could upload and share as well as download and import custom touchscreen buttons, softkeys, transport button functions with other users. Many own Artist Control or Transport and want other custom button setups rather than the default button mappings that ship with the unit yet at the same time don't want to have to spend the time to customize it completely themself. I finally had time to custom... more »
Release a Euphonix-branded single motorised fader and transport controller with a small desktop footprint akin to the Frontier Alphatrack and PreSonus FaderPort but much better and with EuCon integration. Would be very handy for portable rigs who don't want to drag around their MC Control or MC Mix.
The current connection system for multiple MC units is flimsy and of poor design. Try moving 4 connected units from a desk- it's a wobbly flimsy POS.
There needs to be an option to connect some sort of rigid support bar across the underside of all units to create a SOLID connection solution.
When a track is hidden in Pro Tools it can't be assigned to a fader on the Artist Series controllers like MC Control and MC Mix, and thus the solo and mute buttons don't work either. This works with Command 8, as well as D-Command and D-Control. It seems an oversight not to enable this in the Artist Series.
I would like to see a Eucon software update that would allow me access a 3rd or more layers of virtual buttons on my MC Transport. To access this 3rd layer one would simply double tap the shift button and voila...28 additional assignable keys at your command. Continue the series of taps to access additional layers. I believe the Artist Series devices are capable of smashing the competition if they offer an abundance of... more »
Touch Control surface that Is a control fader, similar to the ipad fader but some sort of small control surface that is all touch screen
It would be cool if you had an MC-mix and a transport, if the transport could be put in a mode where the jog wheel would mirror the encoder of a selected track. So if I was controlling lets say a filter cutoff, i could spin the big wheel around instead of using a flipped fader or the little knob on the MC Mix. If I was in pan mode, i could spin the jog left or right (NON-velocity sensitive) to get some cool results.... more »
Would be great if there was an automaton mode called "auto preview" so that PT automatically goes into preview when you touch or twist a knob on the artist control.
Just as the EQ window pops up for the selected channel when you select the EQ soft knob on the Artist Control unit, it would be obvious to have the Panner window pop up for the selected track when you touch the Panner soft knob. I'd like to see this on the mix units too.
The tap and lock functionality of the shift key on the MC Mix is extremely annoying. Every time I use the shift key to bank faders the shift key stays s on and when I go to un-mute fader 7 the transport stops. Even worse, the unit seems to be unresponsive when I try to solo or mute faders 1-4. Then I realize the shift lock is on. I never use the transport functions on the MC Mix (I prefer the qwerty keyboard). A preference... more »
Allow more then 4 artist mix to connect at the same time?
Why is it limited to 4 when you can run them via a gigabit switch?
I see this has been entered before but somehow it is still not addressed. Regardless of how many Artist MC and Mixes are connected, banking always occurs 8 tracks at a time, instead of all at the same time. I.E., I have 20 Channels and I would expect, when I bank, that it would bank channels 1 MC Control + 2 MC Mix= Tracks 1 - 20 Tracks 21 - 40 Tracks 41 - 60, and so on. Other Artist Series combination configuration... more »
Would be nice that if you hard assign a fader to track 20... when you're cycling thorugh your unassigned faders, eucon would take out the 'other' track 20.. so you're not wasting a fader.
I find this would be useful when in editorial mode, as I'd like to keep my dialogue, FX, music and master on the extreme right.. but DONT want them showing up on the other faders as I'm scrolling around.
When I touch any channel knob, the display changes to Channel level. So if you have several fingers on different channels, you soon loose track of what channel has what on it. Do not need to have a read out of channel level, as it is obvious from where the fader is, what the channel level is. This does not happen on a Mackie MCU. So you try mixing with 2 mc mixes and have say 4 fingers on each unit, and you try and remember... more »
I'd like a fusion between digi 003 with enhnced converters and artist series technology... everything with thunderbolt or firewire connection.
