Same thing as for the artist series and S6: Please bring custom Plug-in mapping to Eucon as known for years on Icon, C24 and common Command8. Plug-in control is nearly useless on all Eucon surfaces as long as you cannot customize the parameter layout. Especially for plug-ins with a huge amount of parameters.
When working in Latch mode I don't see if a track is in automation. this is important since it's easy on the S3 to accidentallly touch a fader and put in wrtie that way... -a simple solution a blinking "rw" in the display -more elegant the whole display blinking - very nice: (like on the ProControl) using the mulitcolor LEDs to indicate the automation mode and status off- off green - read red latch/touch yellow - trim ...more »
Encoder gearing and speed needs to be user adjustable. Right now it is either super slow or super fast with no middle ground. Makes it very hard to adjust plugins on the S3.
Can we have 2 S3 act as a 32 channel controller? Especially with the upcoming PT Dock, a 32 channel S3 on both sides would be great for filmmix at least! This feature could be unlocked in Eucon?
When mixing I don't need the record enable buttons, but the Automation mode buttons.
A setting in the preferences could swap the shift layer to "Rec" and the primary to "Automation"
Since Plugin-Windows do that when working with S3, what a huge timersaver it would be, if also panner, and sendlevel, could follow your track selection.
It would be great to be able to choose the colours for LED's on the various buttons. (The S3 does already have multi coloured LED's. It just needs to be implemented in the software.) It would make it easier/quicker to find the button you are looking for and would also make it clearer when you have the shift layer selected because you could have a different set of colours. e.g. If my soft keys on the left are lit up in ...more »
This is similar to the previously suggested "channel strip" mode, except it would relate to plugins. When user selects a plugin, the mapping is spread across both rows of encoders (top & bottom). EG: eq would use top row for eq gain, bottom row would be eq frequency... this would replicate the way most control surfaces and hardware EQ"s are laid out.
my "dream come true" layout of the S3 would be a custom channel strip for the upper 16 knobs.
So one could setup for example 8 knobs for EQ, 3 for Compressor, 2 for De-Esser, etc. and the possible fixed assignments (like 2 knobs for reverb)
The ribbon control on the S3 can detect exactly where your finger is on the ribbon. i.e. it is not just four separate buttons, it can also detect a swiping motion.
It would be great to be able to use a swipe motion on the ribbon controller to scroll through tracks in a project.
You could have a "Chanelstrip Mode", in which the knobs in the upper row are used to extend the channelstrip below. This way you could have two parameters per channel on knobs simultaneously (e.g. pan & send)...
just like on the D-command
