Prior to AAX it was possible to find samples in workspace, then drag and drop them directly into a sampler such as Structure, Kontakt, Battery, Maschine etc. With the introduction of AAX the drag and drop functionality was removed from the AAX format. Please reinstate it! It is very inconvenient and infuriating to have to find a sample in workspace or timeline, then work out the audio path, memorise it, and go into ...more »

I love the new PT Control, the only thing missing for me is the ability to control Send levels on the selected tracks...
Please add this feature
Include a 'Relink and COPY to session audio files folder' as well as 'Relink and MOVE to session audio files folder' option into the missing audio files window. I know, file management should be nailed in the first place. However, I often receive session files from clients for mixing and I spend too much time sorting out somebody else's mess. These two options will make my life much easier. Thanks for voting this idea ...more »
Users that had CPTK forced to HD license when avid discontinued it- should be paying the vanilla Yearly fee not HD for subscription, As did not have another option and also we don't have any HD or DSP cards, this is something we paid for along with Pro tools LE to use basic things like more tracks and automation modes and at the time it was an add on we paid 2k for and continued to upgrade the LE version at scale and ...more »
Users who have multiple screens set up and frequently go back and forth between the Edit and Midi editor will know the frustration of hovering over one window with the mouse, using a zoom (or other) shortcut, and having the previously selected window zoom in or out. I'd love to see a feature where the shortcuts (like zoom in/out) affect the screen that the mouse is currently hovering over without having to click somewhere ...more »
I save all the time during work so for me when closing a session I'd rather not be prompted to save if no changes were made since last save. That way I know nothing unintentional has occurred since I last saved.
Title says it all, it would be nice to have that, either an optional toggle button (like play or record modes) in the edit (or mix) window, or through right click on the solo button! Just a button for changing the solo mode (afl, pfl, sip) directly from the GUI. right click on it and you get a context menu with: pfl afl sip --- latch x-or or you can toggle through the modes with ctrl+click the same way it works with ...more »
would it be possible to assign handles for the pro tools command structure so all functions will be accessible for manipulation via applescript or applications like quickeys and keyboard maestro
Am I the only person who is having this issue? I'm using a Samsung 28" 4K monitor and whenever i use any of the Avid plugins in Pro Tools (Specifically and of the AIR products and Xpand 2) my whole DAW window shrinks in size and is unreadable. Before image: http://tinypic.com/r/2lboltz/8 After Image http://tinypic.com/r/dot9aa/8 It's like as if the plugins overwrite the High DPI scaling done by Windows 10. IS there ...more »
After years of waiting for a "Save As" shortcut and for a very, very brief period of time, PT 11.3.1 showed "option + S" as a key combination for this file preference. Then it completely disappeared!
Bring it back, even the oldest version of Office has one!
When using the Pro Tools S3 with EQ3 7-band or Channel strip plugin the parameter slope is missing when you press EQ in the upper row knobs on the console. This is really annoying since every other parameter is there. Another thing is that the HPF and LPF enable buttons can be edited both with the in button and a knob. A simple solution would be to use this knob for the slope parameter instead.
Currently, the only way you can hear an instrument is to instantiate it in a track and play it. There should be a way to audition the sound as you go through the instrument list
Artist Series Controller, Option in EuCon Software (Firmware update) to let Controller boot when power is supplied to device.
Whenever you're scrolled up to instruments or inserts in the mix window, in most cases, you can no longer see what track you're on since it is beyond the display view at the bottom. Scribble strips on an actual console is always at the armrest. That is not what happens on a computer screen. Wouldn't it be nice if you could un-dock and drag the scribble strip up to above the pan pots for instance or otherwise is always ...more »
