Let people organise the their plugins menu into folders & sub-folders the way they want. The plugin layout would be done with an Avid Standalone Application on the desktop (before loading Pro Tools) where the user can setup folders, sub-folders and place all the plugins into the desired place. Currently you can copy a mono plugin to a stereo track, but you can't copy a stereo plugin to a mono track. I understand the reason why, but frankly it doesn't make much sense. If the setting are the same between the channels, just apply those settings to the new mono plugin, it's not that hard. My request is for an option or preference "Edits Are Global".
This would mean that when time is inserted to, or cut from the timeline, ALL tracks AND playlists whether active or inactive are effected .
For example I intend to make a song "A". I create session then create instrument or audio track. I start sketching some ideas
And in the play process often I born completed ideas that do not fit the song "A" for some reason but it can be great idea for song "B". Select clip(s) and "Export selected clips as New Session" option would be great))
Changing the track view to a sends level (or mute and pan for that matter) is ridiculously involved considering how often this task is performed, especially when all 10 sends are being used on a track. As far as I can tell, Option-clicking on a send does nothing other than open that sends fader. So it would be nice to add some functionality to an Option-Click on a send.
