When switching a lot between slip and grid it happens from time to time that one does not realize that grid mode is already selected before pressing "F4" again. Pro Tools then switches to relative grid. Adding the ability to lock the relative grid mode the way also shuffle mode can be locked will solve this.
When using strip silence fade in and fade are being regarded as separate clips and edited when they are below/above threshold. Adding a check box "disregard fades" will solve this.
Here's one feature I guess sounddesigners really would love to have: For a lot of sound effects one needs a whole lot of single sounds to add up in the end to one sound (let's say a bulldozer passing by very closely you sometimes need like 12-16 sounds). I know this feature from Microsoft Excel. Yeah, right, nothing one can compare to a DAW. But, listen: I think what engineers and editors (especially in the post world) really need is the possibility to pin a track to the top of the edit window (end even the mix window), so one can scroll vertically anywhere but certain tracks (tracks for rerecording, a guide track when editing foley or adr or similar) is visible at any ...more »
