I would like to use the OMNI ADAT input with an 8 channel external interface on top of the existing inputs like you can on a 002(R) or a 003(R) interface.
I would like to be able to control the preamps of the HD OMNI interface via Pro Tools. Have no idea why you can't do that like you can with an Avid PRE.
So please Avid, if it's technically possible (which I heard from a source that it is) then please would you beso kind as to update the firmware so we can control the OMNIs preamps from a track in Pro Tools?
Two tick boxes in the New Memory Location window called 'Remember Edit Tool' and 'Remember Edit Mode' allow you to store the currently selected Edit Tool and Edit mode.
Title says a lot.
I'd like to be able to delete all unused busses in a session from within the I/O setup window to quickly clean up the I/O setup and see only those busses used in my session.
It would be nice if Boom could send out midi notes for each channel (kick, snare, hihat, et cetera). A drop down menu at the bottom of each boom channel for instance would allow you to select the instrument and midi channel that you would like to send the midi notes to. If you could also assign the midi note itself per channel, you have a potentially very powerful tool to create drum patterns. This way Pro Tools gains ...more »
Please read the whole idea before you vote. Avid should sell only ONE standard version of Pro Tools software in which ALL current features are implemented and in which they have implemented extra features to catch up with the competition. Avid's innovative hardware should make customers choose Pro Tools over any other DAW. A few examples of how it should be: - If you buy third party hardware you get ALL current Pro ...more »
While we wait for a 64-bit version of Pro Tools, why not allow Sampler and Rompler plugins that have a Disk Streaming option to load their Samples from the new RAM Disk Cache in Pro Tools 10. The RAM disk Cache in Pro Tools 10 is a storage space where all the clips (regions) in the session are loaded to and from. With an adjustment to the code it should be possible to allow Structure for instance to address the RAM Disk ...more »
Fix the "low memory error" first. This is a real PITA.
Pro Tools has some sort of memory leak and comes up with errors regularly.
The AutoMatch Time is not the same on plugin parameters (like EQ Gain for instance) as on the Volume Fader graph.
An Elastic Audio track gains a Pitched option (like Midi and Instrument tracks have) which makes it susceptible of Key Signature Markers. The Audio on that track would then automatically be transposed by any Key Signature Markers. Combine this with real time properties for Elastic Audio tracks and you can also transpose regions and show this via the well known T and R symbols in a Region. Of course it would be great ...more »
Have all the Elastic Audio properties like sensitivity percentage, loop length et cetera placed in the Real Time properties column for easy access. And while you're at it Avid also add real-time quantize, source length and source tempo to the column. Regions that have Elastic Audio properties changed could display a T or R like the regions with real-time Midi properties do on a Midi or Instrument track. And if you ...more »
Synchronic is a great basic sample and loop trigger plugin that is now surpassed by Transfuser. To increase the arsenal of basic useful plugins Avid should add the Synchronic plugin for free with Pro Tools.
