Highlight multiple files for renaming. Shift-Command-R to rename. Use A, B, C naming conventions. Notice that 1st file is named B, second is C, third is A.
See video. Please fix this. No longer possible to trust Avid's rename function for more than one file at a time.
To reproduce, select multiple clips. Name them like so: Question 8, Question 8-A, Question 8-B, Question 8-C, etc. When done, shift-command-r to rename. Note that Question 8-C comes before Question 8-A.
Please, Avid, I'm so tired of having to click OK in the dialog box when I'm renaming 384 files. In PT8 we could hold down the enter key and it would cycle each one. Please bring this back, or even the ability to "Option-Click OK to name all". We rename THOUSANDS of files per day, and this would make our workflow so much better (and so much quieter). Please either add the ability to name disk file in strip silence or on rename function, allow control-return to accept all changes/or allow holding return to cycle through each file (when renaming multiple files at once).
