It's obvious that the UI was developed with Mac in mind. But there are some missing functions in PT for Windows that should always follow the OS defaults. One of these are the list dialogs, for example, the I/O list. Currently, it the list is longer than the dialog can display, you have to click a little arrow at the top or bottom of the list in order to scroll through the items. The most scroll wheel doesn't work. Since ...more »
I do a lot of editing where I'm jumping back and forth between the regular edit window and the MIDI window. I'm constantly undoing an edit because I forget that the tool I was using in one window is not the one I was using in another. Very frustrating. Please add a setting that would give us the option to Link those tools so when you make a tool change in one window, it changes it globally.
The process for adding a track or tracks to a group or multiple groups is antiquated and extremely time consuming. There should be a way to highlight a track or multiple tracks, right click, then select a group or multiple groups to add them to. I have a large orchestral template with many groups. It's great to be able to click a key to select/deselct a track group, but that functionality is lost when you create a track group in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th level. Please create a way to make that happen. Thanks!
I'm constantly moving back and forth between the edit window and the MIDI edit window. I'm constantly changing tools (draw, trim, etc.) but when I switch between windows, it remembers the last tool I was using for that window not necessarily the last tool I selected. I think I'm using one tool, but I'm actually using another. Very frustrating. If I change a tool, please make it a global change.
How about a color palette that's not limited? give me a color picker like every other program out there. I've attached an image of an example.
The current color pallet is very limited. Please introduce a proper color wheel like you find on many websites, where you can slide through basic color groups, then fine tune the shade of that color. I use a lot of different colors in my film score templates. Thanks!
