Please let us force imported track to come in as inactive tracks. In large film sessions when you add another 300 tracks to re-balance the reels it takes forever for HDX to do the DSP "optimisation" process. Would have to be able to import as inactive to avoid closing, reopening the source session deactivating there and then save and reopen the target session again and then import. Slows down a big mix a lot.
When re-.activating a group of tracks with their VCA masters very often the group assignments on the VCA masters stay inactive (italic and grey) and you have to manually activate them (ctrl-.command click on the via output thing). Sometimes it works but much more often the tracks themselves become active but not the VCA output so they don't actually do anything and the mix is messed up. Please fix. (happens in 2018.4, ...more »
When ungrouping a clip-group PT 2018.4 (also happens in 2018.1) will crash 100% of the time if there's a fade located right on the edge inside the group, As a workaround you have to trim the group and ungroup then but since there's no way for the user to know if there's a fade inside the group the crash will always happen.
Super annoying on large conforms.
without a selection or a selection over the empty time-line hitting alt-command-U (ungroup) brings up the strip silence window., Seems like a new bug, Doesn't happen in 2018.1. The command for strip silence is command-U not alt-command-U. The later is ungroup.
Please fix as this messes up workflow when conforming recuts.
When renaming clip and file name from within PT (double-click on the clip) the program will fail to rename it in the finder even tough it will show the correct name in PT as the file name. Example: -Create a clip and name it "test_file_one" -Double click and rename the file and clip to "test_FILE_one". -result: PT will tell you the associated file name now is "test_FILE_one" but when you look into the finder the file ...more »
When setting the gird to clips/markers PT will still take markers into account even when they are hidden. Leading to false snap to grid placements.
Please ignore the markers when the marker-track is hidden. Just like when you hide the audio tracks and the clips are not used for the grid.
I find it very annoying that when I have window-configs and recall them to open plugins that every time the color palette window is closed. I constantly need that window open so code fx and dialog.
I know I can make the color palette as part of a widow setup but it's just unnecessary work.
I'd like an option that keeps the window open and in the same place regardless the setup that I recall.
AVID claims they fixed it in EC3.2.2 but it's still doing it.
Quite often it's impossible to clean up sessions that contain offline clips that are unused because they are part of a clip-group that is still in the session. Please add an option that show the parent clip-group that the selected clip belongs to. this is partly related to this request: http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Clip-list-Select-offline-clips-that-are-unused/118883-3779 Once clips go offline and live inside ...more »
When you make a selection across a clip and then spot that to original TC-stamp the clip will snap to a position offset by the length of the selection ahead of the clip. Example: Clip's original TC stamp is at 01:00:00:00 Selection starts 1 second ahead of the clip. Spot to original TC will make the clip spot to 01:00:01:00 Expected: The clip should always snap to it's original tc-stamp value regardless the selection ...more »
Why is this site incl. the login window not SSL/TLS encrypted?
People are sending their passwords over in plain text as far as I can tell.
This is with PT 11.3 Steps to reproduce: 1) Select a clip that contains a head-fade and has an individual clip color different from the track's color. 2) Render Izotope RX4 declicker across the clip. Result: Clip's color has been changed to the track's color. What should happen instead: PT should retain the individual color that clip had before rendering. Note: This only happens when the clip has a fade in. cuts or ...more »
