In order to have very short track names i would like to use the "&" symbol as a ideally short name for my MIX-BUS (where all signals are "added"). Unfortunately pro tools does not show up this [&]-symbol inside the bus-menu which is confusing.
FYI: testet with ProTools Ultimate 2018.4 and latest macOS 10.13.4 HighSierra
Note: The alternative "Σ" [Sigma] symbol is used for my MASTER before Mixbus already.
PROBLEM: currently uncomfortable navigation per item is needed in order to add more rows with similar track presets in pt-2018.3-4 Q U I C K S O L U T I O N: PRESSING "+" on TrackPreset-menu should bring up a new row with the same TrackPreset-type preselected - just as in the row above. In other words: Just copy the great behavior of adding a classic track: Another (same) track type appears below. COMMAND_[+] on ...more »
Import is not offered for AIFF: As well via DragDrop-to-Cliplist - as well as from Workspace
According to VLC (on Mac) the source-file is "PCM SL16 LE" (=Pulsecodemodulation signed 16-bit little-endian).
I can't believe worldwide popular AIFF-format is incompatible in year 2017 ?!?
Instead of forcing me to scroll back to the last Take (while recording), adding +1 and telling my producer every new take number - i would like to have a optional "big take number window" which enables producers (one desk behind me as engineer) to read and notate the current take number in their script - without disturbing us each other per take. Seen in Sequoia, simple and useful.
The resulting Fade-Out of the red clip should be the original length of the Crossfade (should sound the same), but the fade is instead trimmed to the middle of the Crossfade (half as long).
If instead the red Clip is cleared, then the same problem applies for the resulting Fade-In-Length of the blue clip: Only half of the previous (and expected) fade-length remains.
Quick listening my production is essential. Especially in radio i don't want to stop & start the shuttle-mode with every voice-change (=track change) when cutting multiple voice actors on multiple tracks.
additional Menu-Option "RIGHT TO LEFT" would be great for batch-import of "Countdown-Elements" in reverse order (number #3, #2, #1). Or even better: temporary reversal by holding "ALT" after DRAG-KLICK
